Review: Great deck for reading. - What I like about them: - Substantial card stock with smooth surface but not overly slick. - Easy to shuffle and hold size. - Beautiful artwork. - Fairy tale theme. The pictures represent folk tales from many cultures, some of which I admit I'm not familiar with. This leads me to two points. A) I want to explore those folk tales now. B) The images are still archetypal enough to read without having to know the background. - The artist/author chose tales that align very well with the traditional Rider-Waite imagery. - I found it an excellent and intuitive deck for reading. Some decks are for appreciating but not reading. This one has value for actual use. What I didn't like: - Nothing. It's fantastic! The back color is a lovely, soft blue — so gentle and pleasant to the eye. I truly love these cards. I also have the Spanish edition by Editorial Sirio, which I like a little less because the edges weren’t very neatly finished. However, I painted the edges with a gold marker, and it turned out beautifully!
