I think it's quite common to over engineer a product making it 10 times stronger than it needs to be. Environmentally that's a waste of resources. So far it's cut everything with ease, carrots, Parmesan cheese rind, potatoes and cooked/uncooked meats. I like the ergonomic design, it's comfortably in the hand and unlike some others when put down it can't lay with the blade up. At just £5.20 it would be good value if it lasted for just one year, however it's got a 15 year guarantee. So what's not to like.... I'm won over by what is essentially an inexpensive item.
