Razorsharp Telescopic Tree Pruner The Spear & Jackson Razorsharp Telescopic Tree Pruner features a variable length telescopic handle which extends up to a maximum length of 2340mm. The head of the pruner incorporates a bypass lopper for branches up to 30mm, the lopper has an SK5 carbon steel blade which stays sharp for longer and can be resharpened when required. **Q: The pull string has gone, do you know where l can get a replacement?**
A: I bought 3 mtrs of 5mm 'polypropylene Rope/corded braid' for £1.50. Works a treat. Amazon sell it as do any of the auction sites.

**Q: I bought this a year ago, just about to use the saw attachment for the first time. How do I attach the saw ?**
A: Hold the blade pointing upwards and curving awawy from the pruner.  There should be 3 small holes at the left hand side of the blade and at the bottom.  Undo the wing nut and fit the middle of these 3 small holes over the screw.  The next largest hole should fit over the steel dowel to provide stability.  Then tighten the wing nut.  Hope this helps.

**Q: what is the max reach from the ground for pruning**
A: The Razorsharp is 8.5 ft fully extended. Take for eg a 6ft man with a 2ft reach then you have circa 16.5 ft reach.

**Q: I really need something for pruning a climbing rose approx 10 feet high. Is this tool ok for this type of job or is there a better alternative**
A: Yes. I've pruned a rose climbing high into a tree - probably over 20 feet high!  I removed the saw first as it tends to make the head of the tool a bit unwieldy as one reaches higher!  I also found that holding the pull cord in one hand and the extending handle in the other, I could make sure the cord didn't tangle in the foliage or with itself.  I guess that once late autumn has caused most leaves to drop, the tangling won't happen anyway :)
