**Q: is it suitable for sketching colour portraits ???**
A: Dear Varun: Yes this is good for colour sketching .Though you should use a mix of graphite and colour pencils, soft pastels to complete the picture. This box has 24 shades-all of which can be used in portraiture-skin tones especially. Asian flesh tones tend toward less variation than brown flesh tones and considerably less variation in tone within the individual face. This set has at least 5 shades that can give you the nearest flesh tones. So go ahead and try it. Regards, CanvasSmart

A: This one is student grade luna colour pencil of 24 shades. This is non water soluble. For architecture or interior designing use water soluble Luna colour pencil which comes in 12,24,36,48shades.

This is the first time I purchased Staedtler colour pencils instead of Camlin or Faber Castell.To be precise these are very strong colour pencils in terms of build quality and appearance.The colour varies from light to dark depending upon the pressure used.The colour blending is not up to the mark though.I will say Faber Castell is better in terms of blending.Still these 24 strong vivid colour pencils makes me lose my way from the irritating hustle-bustle of life.
