My other concern is the size of the chute that is the feed port for the slicer and the fact that to slice larger material it must first be reduced in size enough to fit into the shute. Does exactly what it says it does. Haven't used the julienne function yet but I am sure it will work just fine. This is the first mandoline I have use which doesn't scare me.
