It's great for that, a platform to mess with. I did a lot of studying on what to start with and this really hits all my buttons - hehe. I have two other mech keebs - one of them also a Keychron and it's also very good (just not a 100% size like this one). I do recommend Keychron. The design is good. It's quite heavy but has enough grab-able chassis all round for me to move easily. It has a freakin' knob! I freakin' love knobs! It's pre-programmed for the main volume and it pushes for mute - so cool. The placement of it kinda crowds the F-keys, but that's worth it for sure. It's pretty quiet which isn't a bad thing. I like the sound it makes and I might even like it louder. The feel of the Gateron Banana switches is great. I like the tactile bump and the force is just enough to please me. I'm looking for a more forceful and tactile switch, but these are great for now.The key caps are not translucent, so I'm looking for others also, but these are fine.It is completely programmable, of course, and I have yet to mess with it, but I understand it has QMK firmware that can be customized with some open source software called VIA which was one of many requirements for me.All in all, at ~$115 this is a good bargain. Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent full-size wireless keyboard with flexible connectivity *by on Reviewed in the United States January 15, 2026* I’ve been using the Keychron V6 Max for about 5 days so far at my office, more than 8 hours per day. I bought it because I needed an affordable keyboard with Bluetooth, and it has exceeded my expectations. The biggest benefit is convenience: it supports three connection methods (2.4 GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and wired), so it’s easy to use with different devices. It also includes two receivers (USB-C and USB-A), and there’s a built-in storage slot on the keyboard for the receiver(s), which helps prevent losing them.Typing feel is excellent. The Banana switches provide a very satisfying tactile feedback, and for me they feel even better than typical brown switches. The typing sound is enjoyable and not distracting in an office setting. The keyboard also looks clean and solid on the desk, has RGB lighting, and offers a high level of customization.Battery life has been strong so far: using Bluetooth with RGB off, I’m getting around a week of use.Cons: The case is mostly plastic, which is not necessarily bad—just personal preference (I like metal frames more). Also, the connection to the manufacturer’s customization software can be inconsistent (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t).Bottom line: Excellent value for the price with great typing feel, a comfortable sound, and very flexible connectivity. Highly recommended for office work and gaming, especially if you want a clean desk setup. ### ⭐ Extreme key chatter/double-clicking *by on Reviewed in the United States November 8, 2025* I highly do not recommend this product. At first, it was a great keyboard; it had a great feel, I like the option for customizability with hot-swap, and overall is a decent keyboard. However, there is a consistent issue, that you will see many others mention, with regards to key chatter, double clicking, or similar. Within the first few weeks of purchasing the keyboard, I already began to have severe issues with many keys repeating mulitple presses one after another. I contacted support, and after a bit, they graciously provided me with a new keyboard. However; this new keyboard, perhaps a month after receiving it, also began to have the exact same issues, and continues to get worse. It doesn't seem to be a case of a few faulty keyboards in the bunch; it is a consistent issue with the manufacturing of the keyboard. I have no idea how this isn't a bigger issue, and much less how it has not yet been resolved. I highly do not recommend buying this keyboard for that reason, until it is clear the problem has been solved, which at this point, I do not have the confidence in Keychron to fix this, given that the second keyboard I received, had the exact same issue as my first. ## Frequently Bought Together - Keychron V6 Max Wireless Custom Mechanical Keyboard, 2.4 GHz Bluetooth QMK Full-Size Layout RGB with Hot-swappable Gateron Banana Switch Compatible with Mac Windows Linux - Logitech MX Master 3S - Performance Wireless Mouse with Ultra-fast Scrolling, Ergo, 8K DPI, Track on Glass, Quiet Clicks, Bluetooth, Windows, Linux, Chrome - Graphite --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/639730677-v6-max-wireless-qmk-mechanical-keyboard-2-4-ghz-bluetooth](https://www.desertcart.no/products/639730677-v6-max-wireless-qmk-mechanical-keyboard-2-4-ghz-bluetooth) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
