Can you hear a heartbeat?

it very hard to hear anything.. not worth the buy at all. not to mention in hurts the ear so bad.

What materials is it made of?

tubing is rubber, the rest stainless steel I believe

Why can I hear everything except my heart beat.

I can hear my heart beat and my animals. You should be able to hear your heart beat if you can hear other sounds. Sometimes clothes interferes with the sound. Try taking your heartbeat under your clothes directly on your skin. Turn the head of the stethoscope to open it.

Successfully able to hear a third trimester baby's heart beat?

I would say yes they are very good
