## Description

Product Description Rust-Oleum Zinsser 704H 1-Quart Bulls Eye Amber Shellac From the Manufacturer Bulls Eye Shellac is an alcohol-based solution of lac, a natural resin. Amber shellac has a warm, orange cast that gives a rich, antique-look to woodwork. Offers many advantages over other clear finishes: it's easy to use, dries quickly, is non-toxic when dry and cleans up easily with ammonia and water.

Review: convenient to buy online vs in store, good value for money, fast drying, no bad fumes. - This is about the same costs as in my local home centers, but it's not always in stock there. I really like having the option of either an amber or a clear Shellac for different projects. It is very easy to apply, seems to last a good while for 1-2 years. The clean up is pretty easy with denatured alcohol and a glass jar. Mistake are pretty easy to fix, and I like that its basically as food safe as the coating on M&Ms, which basically use a variant of this. Good value for money, and it does seem to dry clear. It also dries quickly. I also like that it doesn't have bad fumes.
Review: Nice flawless clear coat - The finish looks great with ease of use. Looks to offer good protection from the elements. Offers a thick coat and quick drying time. Not sticky but flows over wood. The finish is clear not amber which I was hoping for.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast, Easy, and Quality Coverage
*by Z***R on September 30, 2024*

I bought this shellac to finish a wood shiplap wall. I wanted something that was easy to apply and fix. This delivered on that. I applied using a terry cloth covered sponge and a bottle. Very fast to apply and was able to touch up small spots without them standing out. It was important that this product didn't change color of the wood so I bought the un-tinted. In my opinion, this shellac enhanced the natural color of the wood without changing the color. Two coats on the walls provided the coverage I was looking for. First coat soaked in deeply and hit it quickly with a brillo pad. I had planned on buffing with the brillo after the second coat but it didn't need it. Dries super fast and allows for multiple coats in a short amount of time. Very happy with my purchase and will be using this product for other wood wall surfaces in my house, highly recommend.
