Product Description Produced by Cameron Webb (Motorhead, Social Distortion, Silverstein ,Tenacious D) and the band, Broadcast to the World proves it was worth waiting for with smart, razor-sharp rockers like "Rated U for Ugly," "Karma Flavored Whisky" and "Broadcast to the World." Against a big, buoyant backdrop painted by guitarist Greg Bergdorf, drummer Ed Udhus and bassist Ben Osmundson, Lewis and rapper Ali Tabatabaee detail scenarios of betrayal ("Here's to You"), domestic troubles ("Your New Girlsfriend Wears Girlpants") and soured relationships ("Back to Normal"). With new addition to zebrahead Matty Lewis on this album you can tell the band means business. Broadcast to the World is the successor to zebrahead's critically acclaimed third release, MFZB. MFZB had the highest testing alternative song for months running with "Rescue Me". MFZB also went gold in Japan! Playmate of the Year, released in 2000 to rave reviews, the album's infectious title track received over 4000 spins on Modern Rock and Rock radio, garnering airplay on some of the nation's biggest alternative stations. Meanwhile, its provocative companion video, which co-starred a harem of curvy Playboy playmates and was shot at the Playboy mansion, was steaming up television screens across the country. Broadcast to the World has all the electrifying energy of a live zebrahead show, blending raging tempos and ringing guitar lines into surging, insistent choruses that stick after a single listen. Review "American Pogo Punk hasn't been this hilarious since Blink 182 decided to grow-up" -- Kerrang, September 2006"Broadcast To The World is the band's return to the forefront." -- The Punk Site, 2006"Zebrahead still delivers fast and catchy punkpop" -- Melodic.net, October 2006 P.when('A').execute(function(A) { A.on('a:expander:toggle_description:toggle:collapse', function(data) { window.scroll(0, data.expander.$expander[0].offsetTop-100); }); }); About the Artist It's been two years since we last heard from zebrahead, but the Orange County, California-based band is making its presence felt once again with the group's highly-anticipated new album Broadcast to the World. Revitalized, road-tightened and eager to redefine its focus, the quintet comes out swinging, delivering a flurry of pummeling rhythms, clench-fisted chords and meaty hooks that connect with each listen. "This is the first time in 6 years everyone has participated and worked as a team", says bassist Ben Osmundson. What we've seen and been through over the last year and half--both individually and as a group. A lot of that wound up working itself into the music, resulting in our most personal and rocking album to date. We now have a reason we have been looking for to conquer the world......the band is a unit of one!" See more Review: Do not doubt, only believe! - If you are like me you'll resist getting this album because Justin M.'s not there and they got this new guy and they'll probably make some weak attempt to produce music as good as they did in the past. Well, so glad to disappoint you 'cause this album is Zebrahead at it's finest. After a few listens Broadcast To The World will have you jumpin' up and down like it was Playmate of The Year all over again. Their new singer Matty holds his own with good sound and energy and yeah, maybe he does sound a little like that dude from that one band, but at times I thought he sounded like Justin M.,too. This album really answered a lot of questions I had about Zebrahead, because they truly are one of my favorite bands, and I was so reluctant to get it due to fear that it wouldn't live up to the quality of their past albums. But boy does it feel good to be dissappointed, because Zebrahead straight represent on this one, and I can only be excited and optimistic about anything that Zebrahead puts out in tha future. Word to your moms. Review: Both are excellent albums which I've come to expect from this band - I bought this album with Call Your Friends and between the two you can pop them in and listen from end to end without having to worry. Both are excellent albums which I've come to expect from this band.

Gave up on this band and boy was I wrong!
So I was a HUGE Zebrahead fan back in the late 90s and early 2000s. Right up until Justin left, and I gave this album one cursory listen, then gave up on them thinking Justin was the glue. Boy, was I wrong. I stumbled across their latest album a couple of weeks back, Brain Invaders, heard the first song and was stunned at how good it was. It made me go back and revisit their stuff that I missed. Not listening to this album was a curse and a blessing - a curse because i missed 14 years of their music, but a blessing in that I get to catch up on it now as if it's new. What a GREAT album. It's almost like they took MFZB (in retrospect my favorite of the earlier albums, though back then I would have said Waste of Mind) and mixed in some of the guitar work from Playmate of the Year. Even better from my persepctive, they added in some of those Offspring/Rise Against high-pitched background vocals. You almost can't go wrong with those in my opinion - love them. While I don't think they'll ever be as diverse as they were on Waste of Mind, but they don't have to be. The poppy punk, harder-edged stuff from MFZB is what has stood the test of time for me - and this album is a continuation. It sounds like they did a sequel to MFZB, and that is a huge compliment. Matty's vocals are not as good as Justin's in my opinon - his standard register is a little too typical and sounds like it could fit right in on some of the truly poppy punk bands like Simple Plan (the one that I hear the most), but thankfully he's in a bit of a higher register most of the time. Justin's lower singing was much more unique, but that's forgiveable. The songs are always what has stood out with Zebrahead. And the songs on this album are top notch. The "lower end" songs are great as well, there's no true filler songs. There's a couple that are definitely lower in quality (in my opinion. Here's To You is standard catchy pop junk, and the unbelievably popular Anthem to me is actually a weaker one as well) but none are bad. Now the highlights - the title track is fantastic. After a few listens, it strikes one that it's hugely powerful and catchy at the same time. If you're looking for songs that sound exactly like their older stuff, try Postcards From Hell and Lobotomy For Dummies - both sound almost exactly like the MFZB stuff. Wake Me Up and Back to Normal both come close as well. The "power ballad" that to me harkens back to "Expectations" (a killer and totally underrated tune) is Your New Boyfriend Wears Girl Pants. A moronic title for sure, like they wanted to be Fallout Boy, but if you can get past the stupid name, it's actually a very good song. If there are others out there like me who thought they stopped producing good music when Justin left, hopefully you'll be open-minded enough to trust me - you'll love this album if you loved MFZB and are a Zebrahead fan in general. They are an acquired taste, but if you love them, you love them. And I love them. 5/5

Best punk-rock album in a long time
I never was a real Zebrahead-fan, but when I recently heard their latest single, I thought "wow, what happened to these guys?". A new singer, that's what happened. And a real good one, too. Since I love the first single 'anthem' so much, I picked up the album and soon discovered that this cd is a real trip to memory lane. It sounds like the punk-rock of the mid-nineties, the period of the better Nofx, Blink-182, Rancid and Millencolin albums, just to name a few. I really love that kind of punk-rock, especially if the music has a little uptempo ska-influence, like this album here does. It's good to see that there are some bands left that are not into the currently popular emo-style punk-rock. I hope many will appreciate this album and that some other bands will follow these guys into making 'proper' punk-rock again. *If you like mid-90's punk-rock you will love this album, a real gem!*
