Review: Works Like a Hose - Functionality is excellent. A dock purchased for use with a 13" MacBook Pro with USB-C ports now works fine on a MacBook Air with USB 3 ports. The dock loses some functionality (the video), but that is not the adapter's fault. The USB-C port on the MacBook Pro supported USB, ethernet, and video. The USB 3 port on the MacBook Air does not support video. The USB 3, ethernet, SD-card and microSD-card ports on the dock all function perfectly. So, if you have a USB 3 port on something, and you'd like to attach a device with a USB-C cable; here's your ticket. Similarly, if you have acquired a USB-C device, but you own a computer with USB 3 ports (but no USB-C port); slip this adapter onto the end of you device's USB-C cable and it will work happily through your USB 3 port. USB-C to USB 2 connections may be less graceful. Some USB-C devices may be unhappy with USB 2 speeds. You can make the connection, and slow devices like mice, printers, trackpads, etc. may be OK. Faster devices like SSDs or SSHDs may choke on the low data rate limits of the USB 2 port. 5 Stars also for shipping. Shipment via USPS was fast and the goods were securely packed to arrive without damage. Durability is unrated because I have had this adapter for only a few days. I'll know about durability a few years from now.
Review: Great little adapter! - Needed this adapter to connect a new external DVD drive to my laptop. The DVD drive came with a male USB C connection, which my older laptop didn't support. Used this adapter, and WHAM, I was able to connect DVD drive to my computer using the male USB 3.0 end. This connection worked perfectly, no issues. Great price!

Functionality is excellent. A dock purchased for use with a 13" MacBook Pro with USB-C ports now works fine on a MacBook Air with USB 3 ports. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great little adapter!

Needed this adapter to connect a new external DVD drive to my laptop. The DVD drive came with a male USB C connection, which my older laptop didn't support. Used this adapter, and WHAM, I was able to connect DVD drive to my computer using the male USB 3.0 end. This connection worked perfectly, no issues. Great price!

I have an increasing need for adapters like this as Type C devices proliferate. So far, these seem like they work. Connectors fit snugly and stay put in the sockets. I'm going to try attaching them to the cables most often used with them with bits of Velcro to make use more convenient. We'll see how that works out. Initial impression: these adapters work so far and I'd purchase them again. Jerry
