Plastic, not rubber nor anything else but I needed only 2 doors so have 2 spares. HUSKY brand socket for unscrewing bolts was recommended and that worked like a charm. Penetrating oil the night before. SOOOooo satisfying to fix doors this way. I had thought and it was previously done.....by jacking up door while unbolting those huge bolts that hold the entire door on. Solved the door closure problem on my '84 Mercedes 300 diesel. Fit within the original door striker is good. A word to the wise: mark your door striker position in the door frame before you loosen any bolts.

### ⭐ Cannot close the door at all. NOT rubber.

Poor quality so each was slightly different. Description said they were rubber (like original). They are hard plastic. Tried multiple ones. None would allow the door to even close much less latch. I ended up buying the whole striker and moving just the latch portion of the new striker to the original striker. That worked although now I have to use slightly more force than ideal to get the door to fully latch. Acceptable for a 40 year old car.
