Cools off too quickly
The wrap fit well and was very comfortable. I needed it for severe arthritis in my thumb. The real problem with this unit is that it gets almost too hot after 20 seconds in the microwave and then only stays warm for about 5 min. I was hoping for something that would stay warm for at least 20-30 minutes so I was very disappointed. If I knew how quickly it cooled off, I wouldn't have ordered it.

Unusual Multi purpose
Sitting at computer full time and getting old, my wrist and thumb get inflamed AND also sciatica pain. This was too cold for my hand when I took it out of the freezer sooo yes, I put snug bike shorts on and put it where the pain was. Stayed put even when walking around. If you deal with back pain you know you can't really be mobile with large bulky cold packs or heating pad cords. After 15 minutes in my pants ๐, it was perfect temp inside for my hand. The degree of cold tolerance may depend on your injury, for me it was ideal. I leave it on for extended periods while working. The cushion helps my wrist and the gel has a cooling effect. I did turn it inside out as another reviewer suggested, definitely made it more comfortable.

Inflammation relief
These gloves helped my husbands thumbs when inflammation flared up. We would put them in freezer for a few minutes and they would relieve the pain.
