Are these tools really only 3 inches long or is that an error?

That’s an error. It’s more like 5 inches. They are smaller in general compared to other nail tools I own. (I’m a professional nail technician) It does the job though!

Newbie~trying to learn how to do cuticles-do i only push them back? use cuticle remover products? trim? i do understand how to remove the gel polish

Gently push back cuticles. With gell polish, AFTER soaking, use one of the tools to gently push up stubborn polish.

Are these 100% stainless steel? Do they hold up to sterilizing solutions?

Yes stainless steel yes will hold up to sterilization solution

Is the spoon head thinner on the bottom or it all one thickness?

The spoon gradually becomes thinner towards the end but it’s not super thin. The end does have a thin tip that’s barely noticeable by the eye but fits snug to comfortably push back the cuticle.
