This past October World Star Hip Hop debuted the video for “Hendrix” the first part of a 12-minute short film starring actors Michael K. Williams (The Wire, The Night Of), Tasha Smith (Empire) as well as newcomer, T.J. Riley, J’ouvert is a precursor to Wyclef’s forthcoming full length album aptly titled Carnival III: Road To Clefication dropping next summer on the 20th anniversary of Wyclef’s critically acclaimed debut The Carnival. Wyclef is known for his wealth of musical influences from jazz to classic rock to reggae. With his critically acclaimed, Grammy® nominated debut The Carnival, he launched himself as a producer and solo artist whose work drew from elements of pop, country, folk, disco, Latin, and electronic music. As a solo artist, Wyclef Jean has released six albums that have sold nearly nine million copies worldwide, including 1997’s The Carnival and 2000’s The Ecleftic: 2 Sides II a Book.

Heroic Visionary!
What a stunning comeback!!! Wyclef, one of Earth's most original lyricists, has put out an indie EP that ranks among his best work. Soulful, reflective and meaningful, this one burns down the house with a blend of Caribbean beats, fresh collaborations and tear-jerking instant classics like "Life Matters." I'm so happy a missing hero has decided to escape his political ambitions to give the world yet another masterpiece. Wyclef is back in a big way.

but it's great to hear some fresh new Wyclef
this is more of an EP than a full album, but it's great to hear some fresh new Wyclef. Glad to see 'clef has stayed in touch with modern times without coming across as preachy. Can't wait to hear Carnival III - 20 years, can you believe it!?!

Uneven but it has it's moments
An uneven album, I was expecting more especially after the April Showers mixtape, but it has it's moments, especially the tracks Lady Haiti, I Swear and Hendrix
