Review: The only coffee I can drink - and I love it. - Due to severe GI problems from an autoimmune illness, I am very limited in what I can eat or drink. I can't eat anything with onion, garlic, or about anything else that tastes good.; the list is long. But what I've missed even more than the food is having a cup of coffee in the morning. I have tried many of the low-acid coffees on the market, including those that you make at home home overnight. Unfortunately, they would still give me reflux. So frustrating. I thought I would give this one a try and I am giving it an enormous thumb's up. This is a life-changer for me (well that's a little dramatic but it's made me so happy.) There is no acid in this; you can even drink it black without tasting any bitterness. It comes in both caffeinated and decaf so if you have a problem with caffeine, you have the decaf option. Note, the decaf didn't taste as good to me but I still liked it. Now, if you're used to Starbucks coffees and/or generally like your coffee strong, you may not like this. Personally, I didn't like the taste of the low-acid coffees but this one taste great to me. So, highly recommended. I can only drink one cup a day (my GI stuff is severe, I am limited to water) but now I I look forward to mornings because I can have a cup of this coffee. It has caused me zero reflux or GI problems which is amazing. I sent the coffee to my GI dietician at UCLA and she was very impressed and is going to recommend it to her other patients. I have tried it all, cold brew, low acid, organic, instant, Prelief pills with coffee, baking soda in my coffee, literally anything and every kind of coffee irritates my bladder all night long even after one cup. This coffee is different. I don't know what they were able to remove that all the other low acid coffees can't but it works. I am so greatful for this coffee as I love coffee more than just about anything and I had just about given up!!! I would purchase these if they were in mesh compostable pods. (type of water they recommend & reviews report problems using purified h2o.)** A: hi Jean, yes you can use spring water. here are the drawbacks with that . spring water as you know has a taste this may effect the taste of the coffee. also some of the minerals in the water will also effect the life of your coffee maker . that why distillata water is is recommended. but they haved filters you can use to catch the minerals in the water. my daughter worked for a water company so i got lots of info and if your spring water is in a bottle that may or may not say what is in it. i use distillata water in the coffee maker because i am lazy and dont want to buy filters. but i drink almost all waters. except tap cause are tap is to high in calcium . hope this info helps **Q: My order had the coffee pods not in their own box, just thrown in a shipping box.
