I can advise that these Parcel Boxes weigh approximately 10.9KG, and the packaged dimensions are approximately - W500 x D400 x H630 mm. I hope this will be helpful to you.Kind regardsHomescapes Support **Q: Does royal mail support this barcode scanning idea?** A: Hello, Thank you for your question. We are currently in contact with Royal Mail regarding this.If a retailer insists on a signed for delivery, then the couriers can sometimes not over rule the request of the retailer(sender); this is especially true for high valued items or of shipments of critical nature, i.e. passports or legal documents. In such an eventuality, the couriers are also constrained. We shall keep you updated once we receive for further news. I hope this will be helpful. **Q: Is it suitable for having newspapers delivered? I am having a new door fitted without a letterbox so will need the Daily Telegraph to fit into the box** A: Yes it will take a newspaper, but the smart parcel drop box is not 100% water proof. The one I have is fitted to the wall under a porch and we have not had any issues with it so far. Parcels up to the size of a shoe box posted in it so far. **Q: Are letters secure in the box? Some have mentioned being able to reach all the way in.** A: You can see if there is post in there if you open the lid slightly to a certain angle but I think it would be extremely difficult to extract any through what is a very small opening. Parcels certainly could not be extracted in this way. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect and worth the money *by R***A on 25 September 2026* Absolutely perfect and makes the amazon delivery driver very happy! Postman likes it too! Excellent quality, no issues, easy to install and weather resistant! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sturdy. Large capacity. *by K***5 on 13 July 2026* This works well and can easily fit small to medium parcels in it. Holes in the bottom ensure any water getting in would quickly disperse. Quite sturdy. Large capacity. Also means there’s no need for a mail slot in our door! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great big letter & parcel box *by G***O on 26 January 2026* I'd give 4.5 stars if I could. It is a great big letter / small parcel box. I read a lot of reviews before committing and I'd agree with some of the comments, namely that there is a little water let in via the bottom left of the door. But it is only a little. If any comes in via the four bolt holes at the back then that is your issue, not the seller's. Once bolted to a brick wall, just put some CT1 sealant around each bolt area to keep water out. I also agree that the lock is cheap, but then all letter boxes have these sort of locks. I've just applied a generous spray of lithium grease in the hope that allows the lock to stay young longer. The box itself is a good size, it would take a ton of mail or a couple of shoe box sized parcels. I did buy a sign saying to open the lid and used gorilla mount tape to stick it permanently to the box. I also removed the QR code sticker that couriers are invited to scan (how many would do this and who cares anyway?) and instead typed a note in its place telling couriers to places letters and parcels 'in here' with some down arrows. That area is hidden when the box is closed, so they only read that after they've followed instructions and opened the lid. I covered my typed note with some clear waterproof gorilla tape to ensure it lasts. That area does not get wet anyway (and it has been well tested for wet and windy weather recently). Never over-estimate couriers ability to open a simple box. I think and instruction to open the lid is necessary, despite it being seemingly very obvious! The seller is right to say you need two people to mount the box. Though I ignored that and did it myself. I drilled one of the top two holes and mounted the box with the one bolt, not fully tightened. I then straightened the box and using a spirit level to get it level, I then marked the other three holes. I then removed the single bolt I had used and drilled out the other three holes and then attached the box after that. It was a bit of a fiddle and not recommended but it can be done single-handed if you've got a bit of experience. I used the bolts provided as they seem very good and while the rawplugs provided are good too, I did use my own Fischer Duopower wall plugs which are excellent. I used 10mm drill bit and rawplug for 10mm, which necessitates use of a 13mm socket. For tightening I used a socket attached to my makita impact driver. I made the holes in the brickwork using 10mm SDS makita drill. I tightened up the bolts manually at the end using 13mm socket. I am really a very amateur DIYer and it wasn't too hard. The box itself, despite my minor criticisms is really good. I dont know how long it will last before rusting, hopefully a few years at least. So glad I upgraded from a normal-sized letter box (which are all simply too small). I think the box is quite stylish and it is powder coated. I would buy again. ## Frequently Bought Together - Smart Parcel Box - Wall Mounted Parcel Box Outdoor, Secure Black Delivery Box for Parcels, Durable & Waterproof, Lockable Weatherproof Parcel Drop Box Suitable For Multiple Large Parcels - Please place all envelopes and parcels into this safe post box - Self adhesive sticker 200mm x 150mm - Pack of 2 Deliveries If no Answer Please Leave parcels in The Parcel Box. 120mm x 120mm Self Adhesive Stickers.
