Released four years after its previous album, Hard to Earn, this album could be perceived as a comeback, with a newer, updated style of the group's already-established jazz-tinged hip-hop. The album is the group's most commercially successful album to date. The lead single, "You Know My Steez," became the duo's second Billboard Hot 100 appearnce in 1997. Continuing with it's Respect The Classics campaign UMe will be reissuing this classic album back on vinyl for the first time in 15 years. Review: Hip-hop classic! - This 3LP has some of Gang Starr’s best. ‘Cause I’m like the Wizard and you look lost like Dorothy. Guru’s storytelling mixed with DJ Premier’s production are a team that will never be replicated. R.I.P. Guru! One of the best to come out of Roxbury. Review: Great Condition - Arrived in great condition. No complaints!

Real Hip Hop At Its Best...
Favorite Gang Starr album and one of the best albums in the history of all music. Personally, I think this is DJ Premier's best production and Guru rhymes over them with just the most finesse, making this album ahead of its time when it was released in '98. The records came out great for a repress with excellent quality. I'm glad I was able to snatch this piece. Real Hip Hop at its best.

Gangstarr.
After returning the first package since it only came with 2 records (this is 3LP), I finally got what I ordered. Good stuff.

Incredible album from one of the best yet. Gang Starr hit their creative peak with this album in my humble opinion. Guru’s flow was perfected over Premier’s top tier boom bap beats on an album which completes a classic hip hop Quadrilogy. Standout tracks are the title song Moment of Truth, You Know My Steez, Robbin Hood Theory, Above the Clouds, Royalty, The Militia, What I'm Here 4 and Next Time (the first and last songs in this list of standout tracks are my personal favourites). My only issue is the tightly packed vinyl in this gatefold album. More space should have been allocated for the 3 discs in this album set. It’s quite difficult to get the records back in their sleeve and then the cover once played. With all that being said I would give this album a solid 10/10 and recommend it as a must for any hip hop head.

One of my favourite hiphop albums of all time - 10/10 album. 10/10 quick delivery however 6/10 on packaging. The plastic was torn on the record sleeve causing scuff marks on the album art work
