**Q: Does it work during the day?**
A: No, it charges the battery by the sun during the day, but comes on from dusk to dawn NOT during the day. Hope that helps You

**Q: Does it have a rechargeable battery or do you throw away once they stop working?**
A: The battery is solar powered and should last years.  I don't think you can open it to replace the battery.  BTW, it seems to be working great.  We haven't seen a coyote in that area since we put it out.

**Q: does this flash in a random pattern, or on and off repeating the same?**
A: I have two of them and they flash at a fairly constant rate of about 112 flashes per minute.

**Q: Anyone have success keeping racoons off your roof with theses??**
A: I have not used these for that purpose. It was to put around a perimeter
