Description

Buy Gillian Ayres 1 by Gayford, Martin, Cleaton-Roberts, David, Marr, Andrew, Ayres, Gillian (ISBN: 9781908970305) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: An abundance of energy - A wonderful cavalcade of Gillian Ayers paintings - super reproductions - what energy - what a colourist. Not sure about text though - have concentrated on 'looking' at the illustrations of which there are many - some might say too many. The book is great value for money. Review: Outstanding - A handsome and well-written book about a brilliant artist - with great pictures, of course. A good present to oneself or friends interested in Modern British art.

High quality photography. Seems quite comprehensive. Sounds like an honest explanation of her thinking and techniques. Definitely a book I leaf through regularly. Highly recommended.
