Superhold Pomade

I always like my hair to have a shinier rather than matte look. I've tried many different pomades, but this is definitely the best one. It's a generous tub for the money, and it has a pretty strong hold, i usually have to use hairspray but could go without using this.Not sure this would be the best for a matte look but may look different dry.

Love this stuff. Holds well and washes out easy.

The amount of hair gels, creams and pomade I've been through has been a headache, not to mention heavy on the pocket just to try.However this is the one for me. If you're looking for a pomade that is easy to apply, not ultra sticky or ultra greasy this could be for you.I use it for slick back style.Mix a bit in palms, add to hair first application.Mix a little bit more add a tiny tiny bit of water to loosen (which I find seems to activate it more)Then comb with fingers or comb.Lasts for the day with good application and washes out easily with no residue.

I have been a user of the red DAX wax for many many years and have tried so many different hair products and have always gone back to DAX because it seems to be the best hold for my hair. But, I live in Dubai and during the summer months temperatures can reach 50c so DAX being a wax gets very soft in the heat. I tried using gels but because my hair has a slight curl to it the gel doesn't pull and hold my hair straight like DAX does. Another problem with DAX, being petroleum based they have recently changed the smell of it so its starting to smell like engine oil :-(So, I have hunted high and low for a water based product that stays firm in the heat, washes out easily and also one that smells great..... FINALLY... for me.. a product that does what it says on the tin!!!! This really is like putting wax in your hair, with the same hold as gel.... and washes out easily. My only tip is to make sure your hair is almost dry and it works better then (probably not getting watered down). I towel dry my hair and that seems to be enough.Will for sure be stocking up with this product!! FANTASTIC !!!

I'd been using Uppercut Deluxe matte pomade until I tried this Layrite. I want a good hold without the greasy wet look of most strong pomade. So the Uppercut matte was my favourite, however I live near the coast and it gets windy, which the matte pomade just moved and volumised in the wind so I looked like I'd been dragged through a bush!Enter Layrite Strong. Fabulous hold, great for styling and still aleasy to comb without knotting, is slightly shinier than the matte pomade but even using a fair bit, it doesn't look greasy. Now my hair stays in place in the wind! 😁Smells lovely too without being too pungent. Great stuff. New favourite.

Good product

I was coming to the end of a tin of Uppercut pomade so I thought I'd give Layrite a whirl as my all time favourite pomade brand (Native) seems to have vanished.For a start, I think this pomade is too pricey for the amount you get in the tin and have to apply to achieve results. Even Layrite themselves on their YouTube how to use tutorials tell you to use a decent knuckle sized worth, which I personally don't want to be doing with a 20 quid tin of products.I've used it in dry hair and damp hair. It surprisingly gives good volume when used in dry hair, but I still find it hard to control my thick and course hair with it, but that's probably me not using enough.It holds strong and keeps my hair in place through all types of bad weather. It makes my hair pretty solid when set like I've used a gel. It's good that it gives you the time when first applied to comb it into position without hardening up too fast.I like the scent of it, but I would prefer if it was a bit stronger.Not a bad product but I find I get better results with Uppercut, it smells nicer, it lasts longer and doesn't cost as much

Geiles Zeug!Ich hatte die Layrite tatsächlich schon länger auf dem Schirm, hab sie aber nie ausprobiert. Bis jetzt.Die Layrite lässt sich wiiiirklich gut ins Haar einarbeiten und stylen. Der Halt ist absolut ausreichend und sie lässt sich relativ easy nach-stylen wenn mal doch etwas nicht so liegt wie es soll.Der Glanz ist moderat und auswaschen lässt sich ebenfalls super leicht.Der Geruch ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Geht meiner Meinung nach in die Richtung Zuckerwatte. Irgendwie strange, aber geil :)Ich bin auf jedenfall zu 120% überzeugt. Als nächstes wird die Layrite matt ausprobiert.
