Surprisingly good for a 90% cacao bar
Excellent quality. Not too bitter.

Alter Eco Super Blackout is a "super" dark chocolate bar.
Have been enjoying Alter Eco Super Blackout, 90% cacao, for almost nine years. Eat one bar every day; I buy it in bulk. Being a lover of dark chocolate, I can truly say that I love its taste. The fact that it's all organic and has nutritional and health benefits are free bonuses. I swear by this product. I would recommend sampling one bar, as it's 90% cacao, if you want something sweeter, try the Alter Eco Classic Blackout, 85% cacao. Aside from that, Alter Eco has a fine selection of other chocolate bars and other related products. I have given the Truffle Thins as gifts and received rave reviews. Super Blackout is the choice for me.

2nd time's a charm
Update: after receiving a courtesy credit from Amazon for wrong flavor shipped, I re-ordered the Super Blackout, and indeed it arrived correctly, and the heat-resistant packaging was outstanding in its protection. Far exceeds my expectation for packaging. Excellent.

Dark and delicious!
This chocolate is clean and dark!!!! I love that there’s no processed sugar and it is very chocolately! If it’s your first time having chocolate this dark, you will find it weird at first, but my husband loves it and uses it for its health benefits! It does melt well.

Summer heat
It is not a good idea to order chocolate bars in June in Dallas. They were delivered about 3:30 pm and placed on my (covered) porch in the shade. I was on the computer but no delivery email ever appeared. I kept checking status on amazon.com. I probably picked up the package within ten minuets of arrival. A large sign was on outside of box: "keep away from heat". Three freezer bags as packing had melted and were warm. I opened one bar and it was very soft - but delicious! I checked one other bar and it was fairly hard; the other ten appeared solid. All have been placed in the refrigerator. Mostly satisfied.
