### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Steinel quality

The same Steinel quality I have come across before. A little expensive but I expect it will last longer and perform better than cheaper products. This model has two settings, a 5m semi-circle which works perfectly and a 12m setting of a more complex sensor "shape" illustrated in the manual. The result of the "shape" is that it is not 12m head on and I have found it difficult to selectively mask the 45deg 12m peaks against unwanted detection. I'm not criticising that characteristic as it is described in the manual but it needs to be understood if a 12m range is wanted. If an 8m semi-circle would suit consider this model... Steinel IS2180-5 Motion Detector, Black (which, unlike the reviewed model, has a manual over-ride feature) One thing I will knock a star off for in the hope that Steinel will address the issue is that every time I remove the cover on all my Steinels, necessary to adjust settings and I agree with enclosed adjustment, the plastic mask pieces fall out, usually to the ground.
