Great compact fan hub for Mini-ITX motherboards with limited fan headers
I picked up this Thermalright 10-port SATA-powered fan hub because I'm using a Mini-ITX motherboard inside a Micro-ATX case, and my motherboard has very limited fan connections. I've customized the airflow in my case quite a bit and currently have seven fans installed, so I needed a compact PC fan controller that could provide enough connections for everything. My setup includes several low-profile 80mm x 15mm fans, a low-profile 120mm x 15mm fan, and multiple RGB 120mm fans associated with my AIO cooling setup. I've modified the case airflow to use bottom intake and top exhaust, and this hub gives me plenty of expansion for running all of those additional case fans. The biggest advantage is simply the number of connections. Having a 10-port 4-pin fan hub powered through SATA is extremely useful when your motherboard only has a couple of fan headers. Connectivity has been good with the different fans and adapters I'm using, and I haven't experienced problems physically connecting anything. The hub is also very compact. I was able to mount it in the rear compartment behind my motherboard, where it sits flush against the back panel without causing the case panel to bow outward. That's particularly important in a compact Micro-ATX build where cable-management space is limited. PWM fan control is available, although I'm still experimenting with the exact configuration. Some of my small 80mm fans aren't PWM-controlled and run at full speed regardless. With my controllable fans, I'm currently only seeing two fans through my motherboard's fan controls. Based on the hub's connections, I believe I may need to use the designated red CPU fan port along with the PWM connection to get the control behavior I'm looking for, so I'll need to experiment with that configuration further. I also experienced some finicky behavior while setting up my AIO cooling, so I eventually connected one of the AIO-related fans directly to the motherboard. I can't say that the fan hub caused the issue, and I suspect it was more related to how the AIO and motherboard were handling fan control. After getting everything configured, my system is now stable and my CPU is sitting around 48°C under normal operation. Noise hasn't been a problem either. Obviously the hub itself doesn't eliminate fan noise, but my overall seven-fan setup remains surprisingly quiet and certainly doesn't sound like a jet engine. Overall, I'm very happy with this Thermalright fan hub. It's compact, SATA-powered, provides a huge amount of fan expansion, and is especially useful for Mini-ITX motherboards with limited fan headers. I'm still dialing in the PWM control configuration, but as a way to connect and power a large number of case fans in a compact PC build, it does exactly what I needed. 5/5 stars TL;DR: Compact 10-port SATA fan hub that works great for adding lots of fans to a Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX build. Plenty of connectivity, easy to hide behind the motherboard, and perfect for a custom multi-fan cooling setup.

Me ayudó mucho con la gestión de los cables de mis ventiladores, de tener que conectar algunos en serie y luego a la motherboard, pude conectarlos todos de manera individual al hub y luego del hub a la motherboard a través de un solo cable. Eso sí, la iluminación RGB la vas a tener que gestionar aparte (ahí sí tuve que conectar en serie y utilizar dos puertos de 5v). Considera que no tiene incluido el cable Sata de alimentación así que lo tendrás que obtener por tu cuenta (en mi caso la fuente de poder venía con varios extras así que usé uno). La cinta doble cara con la que viene no es tan fuerte; cada vez que abro el gabinete el hub está medio despegado. Lo único "malo" de usar este hub es que no puedes controlar la velocidad de los puertos/ventiladores de manera invididual ya que la motherboard lo detecta como si fuera un solo ventilador. Fuera de eso todo ha resultado bastante bien.

Works great and as expected! Really just plug and play and your all set to connect more fans. Size is nice and compact and the case feels high quality.
