They’re hard plastic with an ashtray back. They contour like the actual buttons too. Hope they hold up

They fit the buttons in my Mercedes perfectly. Each one is molded to the exact shape of the button it goes over. They're like little shells that encase the original buttons. Also I have the aluminum trim on my door handles and steering wheel already, as well as the air vents and the tone of these buttons match that absolutely perfectly. These look like they are out of the factory and are OEM products. Very well made and also the light transmits through them about 80% of the original intensity

HORRIBLE!!!!! If I could give this product a ZERO I would. Didn’t fit but the glue is GREAT! Although they didn’t fit they’re definitely STUCK! It’s almost as if they’re WARPED so they don’t lay flat. I’m pissed. My switches were better b4 this! Also 1 BROKE as I tried to push it down to fit. So it’s broken & stuck!!!!

Fit W166 GLE perfectly, but due to thickness and reduced opacity of adhesive backing, not as much light is transmitted through the white icon graphic at night and you can see a slight three dimensional shadow within the window icon itself (because it's acting as a light pipe or prism). It's a noticeable difference but not a deal breaker if you you can still find the button in the dark. It just makes it appear as if the bulb behind the button is failing or not achieving full wattage. I may try to cut out the adhesive backing directly beneath the icon to see if it lets more light through to match OE brightness but I'm not sure it will improve much due to the distance between the button cover/cap and the top surface of OE button. If you must have full brightness, the skip this and replace the actual button itself.

Excellent fit I was worrying on installing in alabama late summer heat but it worked like a charm.

Love the quality of the replacements and they really enhanced the interior. Currently doing a total refresh of the wear and tear from putting 155k miles on my vehicle. Installing was a breeze,I used tweezers to hold each button and I used a cigarette lighter to lightly glance over the adhesive backing to help it really stick and spread out.

the appearance was good and gave me what I needed for my scratched up Car button, but !! after several weeks or months they started popping off, So I would recommend to add a little super glue for longevity. order at your own risk. Sidney in Lancaster, TX
