- SPECIAL ATTENTION – Fire TV Stick and similar dongles draw more power than this unit's USB port can provide. Do NOT power them from this unit's USB port. Instead, check your device's power requirements and use a separate power source that meets them — its original adapter or a car USB charger. Vehicle USB ports vary, and data-only ports can supply as little as 0.5A, which isn't enough. An underpowered source can cause the dongle to lose power, disconnect, or show a black screen.
