**Q: is the dc output a modulating dc voltage**
A: yes you can step up the 0-10vdc output by 1 volt. I use this meter for troubleshooting building automation control systems and find this tool extremely helpful for the price!

**Q: Will this unit output a “stair step” ma signal? In other words, can you set it to vary the ma output automatically?**
A: UPDATE - This product now has sweep, step, and custom profile automatic cycles to allow you to simulate conditions without manually moving through values.

**Q: Can you simulate a hertz or kilohertz signal?**
A: Not with this one.  Have a look at the PLC Tools SIM-EOC or SIM-E5V Encoder Frequency simulator.
