Conifer Blend

Very high quality soil, doesn't compact at all and water drains right through it, ideal for bonsai or for topping the soil on any other plants. It looks very good too.

Quality seems good, a good mix of components for juniper.

Great quality

I used this for my bristlecone pine, coast redwood, and as pictured my giant sequoia seedlings. This is great for conifers as the name implies. I have in my mix for seedlings about 50/50 peat moss and this conifer soil. It drains very well but leaves the soil moist, so you are less likely to get root rot and there is no clumpy wet soil around the base of your trees. I would not recommend using this as the only soil in the pot, definitely add some more organic type of mixture unless instructed not to. For example in about 7 years I could probably put my bristlecone pine in a 80/20 or 90/10 of this conifer mix and the lesser be peat moss, only because those trees grow in extremely rocky areas.

The particle size is consistent, clean, and drains very well, which is exactly what junipers and pines need. There’s no dusty material or compacted soil like you sometimes get with cheaper mixes. Water flows through nicely while still holding enough moisture so the roots don’t dry out too fast. After a few weeks, I noticed healthier color and stronger growth, and the soil structure stays loose instead of breaking down quickly. It’s also convenient that the mix comes ready to use no need to sift or combine different components yourself. Overall, a solid bonsai soil that makes repotting much easier.

First time bonsai grower. Used the mix to put a 6 year black pine ( I grew from seed) in its first bonsai pot. Very worried I would kill it. Tree is thriving. Highly recommend this product!

LOVE Tiny Roots soil blends. Use the conifer plus multiple others. My bonsai's love it.

Worked great for my bonsai

Excellent produit.
