TRUTHEAR NOVA Earphone 1 Dynamic 4 Balanced in Ear Headphone with 0.78 2Pin Cable

Let me just start by saying, if you've heard the Truthear x Crinacle Zero Reds and liked them, then you'll love these. The Novas are pretty much the Zero Red's big brother. Take a look at a graph and you'll see that they're both tuned extremely similarly. The Novas sound like the Zero Reds, but more. Better. Fuller. There, review over. Okay, I'll give you a bit more detail than that. If you haven't heard the Zero Reds, then let me just say, there's a lot of babble about the "new meta" IEM tuning right now. The idea is that it's a new tuning target that's very un-Harman, more level throughout with just a slight bass shelf. It's a sound I quite like. I find the vast majority of IEMs to be obnoxiously shouty in the treble range, but most of the ones I've heard that are tuned similarly to this so-called "new meta" are so much more tolerable in the treble department. I guess I'm a "new meta" evangelist. I have no idea if Truthear made the Nova with the "new meta" in mind, but regardless, it's right in that tuning range, and in my opinion it freaking nails it. Bass is full, forward, and punchy, but not overwhelming and with clear separation from the mids. Mids are mostly clear, a tad more recessed than I'd like but for the price they're just fine. Treble is present but not shouty or fatiguing. Honestly if you're a treble nut, you'll probably find these disappointing, but for the rest of us, I think this tuning is pretty easy for anyone to enjoy. Imaging is fairly average for an IEM at this price point. That's not a bad thing. It's perfectly cromulent. As for the rest: cable is pretty good honestly, and a little longer than most bundled cables tend to be. Buds themselves aren't particularly heavy but they aren't the BEST fit I've ever experienced. With foam tips they stay in my ear just fine, seal fine and sound great, but they could just be a little more comfortable is all. Don't get me wrong, I can sit and listen to them for several hours without my ears itching or getting fatigued, but I'm always aware they're there, if that makes sense. Everybody's ears are different though, so it's really a crapshoot if ANY IEM will fit you well. Long story short, I like these. I think these might just be the best thing in the $150 price range right now. They can genuinely compete with stuff in the $200-$300 bracket, so that's good value for money. Strong recommend.

I love this IEM for the price. Of course, I love the fact that it comes in various colors. The packaging was of a high quality. The Cord is of high quality and a great length. What I did not like is the ear monitor it just too big. The information was given why the size is its shape. Once I got the monitors around my ears they stay put....I love the sound quality of the Bass, Treble, and MIds. I do not like IEMS with that added Bass I wanted natural tones. After listening to a rearrangement I did of a song that Bert Schulte sent me I was very very pleased. Portability is great in my little black case.

UPDATE 12/18/23: Disregard the comfort section since I started to use the tips that fit on the b2s (comply foam tips) onto these, it really improved the comfort on these. So just ignore the stock tips and get complay foam ones instead if comfort is a concern. Some time last year I had my moondrop b2s/ blessing 2s (right ear unit) in my hand and tried connecting it to the 2 pin cable and it slipped and fell on the ground, glued the metal plate onto the unit and miraculously it still works and sounds fantastic. And out of fear of breaking them any further, I went iem window shopping from time to time. I've tried the zeros from the crin collab and liked the sound but the fitment was unbearable and inevitably returned them. Fast forward to present day and after purchasing these, its a bit of a disappointment •Fitment: For me, fitment is ALMOST as important as the sound quality, and the novas are, for me at least, unbearable for any long term listening. The moondrop b2s can also be a bit uncomfortable after long listening sessions, but they dont hurt as much and can stay in my ears longer. The main culprit for this is due to how bulky the shell is compared to the b2s, the shell is more square-ish where as the b2s shell/ housing (or whatever you'd call it), has a more natural shape for the ears. Truthear claims the novas have a more "ergonomic shape design", which is true, its definitely more ergonomic than the zero (truthear, not 7hz), but falls on its face compared to the b2s. •Cable and foam tips: I've only used the foam tips since I prefer foam tips over silicone tips and they gave me a good seal and blocked out my environment pretty good. Since the seal was pretty decent, it made it easier to notice how microphonic the cable was. Anything rubbing against the cable from the 3.5 mm jack to the start of the split was essentially noise-free, and whatever rubs from the split to the ear hooks is very noticeable. •Sound: The novas sound great, with enough bass to be present without introducing obnoxious bloat, along with the mids being present and not overstated, and having a tolerable amount of treble that isnt harsh. •Conclusion: These iems were such a let down for me since having a more ergonomic shape, that I would keep these and daily drive there for a longer period of time than the zeros but unfortunately, that's not the case. •TL;DR: I cry about these being uncomfortable but these sound good and if sound is all you're looking for, and your ears are able to fit these better than me, these are worth taking a look at.

Yes it's a lot of money for a cabled earbud, but it's absolutely worth it. The "V-Shaped" sound signature is absolutely everywhere, and never done very well; the Bass and treble are always blown out. These iems put everything else to shame. They are extremely clear and strong sounding without the woofiness you might get out of a lesser set. Separation between instruments is clean, and remains detailed through to the end of the audio spectrum. Will it be at out a $500 pair? Absolutely not, but it does get very close. Fit is fine. The included ear tips were a bit small, but that's a me issue that's fixed with a different set I know fits me better. The shell despite being a bit chunky is comfortable. The epoxy faceplates look great. My only issue is that it does not have a mesh filter below the tips, so you can have some earwax buildup eventually clogging the set of driver holes. All and all, these are wonderful and are a nice "dessert" iem when I get bored or too used to my normal sets.

I bought a pair on August of last year, and out of the box I was having problems with the rubber eartips not staying on the earbuds because there was no lip or grip. Simply pulling the earbud out would leave the rubber in my ear, forcing me to dig it out every time. As of today, February 9th, the right earbud has suddenly blown out. I was using them the night before and they worked perfectly fine, then when I woke up the next morning and went to use them, the right is just gone. Sound quality is good, but the build of the earbuds themselves is horrible. Save your money and find something cheaper

Really have nothing to complain about besides maybe the cord getting tangled more than I like but that’s just a personal issue on my end. The quality of the sound is what makes it worth it. Use these over a $200 over the ear headphones just because they’re comfortable for me and give me a very similar to just about the same sound quality.

I managed to get a replacement. Then I realized long term they dont service as well as IEMs I am used to. I can't really buy or replace filters. I can't really order new foam tips separately. Plus, they're too balanced towards Air. I tried turning it down and it sounds less painful but generally speaking it always felt like something was hissing and shouting in my ear. Giving me an earache. They sound good and quite beautiful and I know with more mixing I could make them sound better but I just found them uncomfortable. I tried changing to many eartips with little success and I am not keen on going to Alibaba to find replacements, unlike other competitors who put their peripherals in their shops to buy with kits.

I've collected entry level IEMs before but after watching reviews and reading them on both YouTube and Reddit — I decided to shell out the money for these. My gosh, I'm so happy I did. These are frankly the best IEMs I've ever used. I am no way an "audiophile" however I can discern when the audio is decent or not. These cut above other Truthear IEMs I've used (both the Hola and the Hexa). The Hola to me has mids that are too recessed for me whilst the Hexa is good for a more neutral sound signature however things just sound plain to me. The Nova's follow a sound target similar to the Moondrop Variations and while I've never used the Variations — these IEMs are amazing. They're mostly Harman tuned and whilst that's not for everybody, it makes this great for the genres I listen to: J-Pop, K-Pop, video games OST, and Pop music. While the first listen I've used with the Nova were SpinFits — I highly recommend to use the stock foam tips with the Nova's. The foam tips allow the bass to be tight, clean, but not overly powerful. Using SpinFits kinda make the bass a bit too boomy and recesses the mids in a way. It makes it sound too strong and shouty. With the foam tips, the IEMs sound so clean, balanced, and overall beautiful. While the soundstage isn't as good as my Sennheiser HD560s (you can't really compared as the HD560s is an open back), I can feel the separation of all the instruments that I never felt with my other entry level IEMs. Female vocals are also amazing. While male vocals are good too, female vocals sound so.......shiny. I don't know how to describe it but it just sounds really good. I don't know what else to say. These IEMs are great. I don't even wanna EQ them. Buy em and if you don't like them return it. However, if this is your first jump into a 100-200 dollar IEM then this is worth it.

I am very happy with these IEM's except for one thing that started about 2 weeks ago (I bought them early May) and that is that the eartips become lose while in my ear. The first time I was like, why is the sound suddenly different in my right ear. I took the earbuds out but the tip stayed deep in my ear. So deep that I couldn't get it out with my fingers and had to do it with a pincer. After that it happened more often and also the left earpiece started behaving like that. Now I'm not looking forward anymore to wearing them because really each time the tips get lose and I need to grab the pincer, get them out. Attach them again to the earbuds and hope they will stay attached for a while again. I'm using the smallest tips by the way and everything worked fine for about 3 months until this suddenly started happening almost daily, to really every time I use them. I already contacted Truthear twice but am not getting any reply. If they will ever reply and I get a proper solution I'll update this review.

Used them for almost a week for at least 8 hours a day. This is my first higher-end IEM, upgraded from Truthear Gate and I was a little blown away for how good they sound for their price. Everything I write here is very subjective and your mileage may vary. As for the sound - great Harman 2019v2 tuning, if you are a fan of it, get a pair now and skip reading all this. Sound signature is very smooth yet detailed. Some reviews say they sometimes sound shouty/sibilant, not an issue for me, there is plenty bass, maybe a bit much for my taste but it never gets muddy nor bleeds to mids. Some may find mids a bit lacking, especially when moving from midrange focused cans such as LCD-X, AKG 700 and 600 series. Highs are textured and sparkly, definitely smoothes-out with foam pads but I am not a big fan of them. Soundstage is alright, IMO as expected for IEMs or above average - it does not sound inside your head but it does not side like you are in a room with speakers either. What do you get with these? The box itself has anime character theme, not a big fan but could not care less about the packaging, what matters are the contents - it includes a choice of tips - 2 sizes of dual flange tips, 3 sizes of regular silicone tips and single foam tips, a long braided 2 pin 0.78mm to 3.5mm cable and a decent carrying pouch. Had some mixed feelings with cable - it's long (I'd say 2m), which is very nice, has chin slider, interesting design, but it is very microphonic and rubbing against clothing sound really bothered me even the slightest movements. I wanted to give 4/5 stars just for it but for the price I can't really complain too much and to my knowledge many people use aftermarket tips and cables anyway. Now for the comfort. I can see how people with smaller ears might have an issue with these IEMs, I have big ears and I had to fidget them around to figure out the way they sit comfortably in my ear. I am new to IEMs so I did not find any difference between normal silicone tips and dual flange tips apart from deeper insertion on dual flange ones and as for silicone tips they smoothe-out highs and make it less textured/sparkly. Tips are alright, skipped dual flange tips due to too deep insertion and also skipped foam tips because they get dirty very easily and cleaning them is pretty much impossible. Medium tips are a little too small, while large are quite fine for me. The bore is quite wide so if you consider getting aftermarket tips look out for thinner bore material similar to stock silicone tips, I used Azla SednaEarfit MAX ML size (Regular, not TWS ones) and with deeper insertion was a bit uncomfortable after some time, had to insert them not as deep to achieve perfect fit that would remain comfortable for hours. IEMs are very light and once inserted with a good seal, I can't see how they can come out. I could use them for hours with stock and aftermarket tips with no issues. In short: Pros: * Harman 2019v2 Tuning * Smooth yet detailed sound with deep and tight bass, sparkly highs, very forward female vocals * Stock tips selection * Nice packaging and presentation, included carrying pouch * Stock cable is long * Nice shell design * Very light and comfortable Cons: * Harman 2019v2 Tuning * A bit lacking mids, especially lower mids, male vocals sound a bit recessed * Extremely microphonic stock cable, I highly suggest getting after market one * A bit big shell size and wide bore, may be problematic for smaller ears and for thicker material after market eartips Solid 4.5/5

TLDR. You Need EQ With EQ they are as good as any other 1000$ IEM, You just need to know how. But in my opinion all IEMS sounds bad without EQ. I use a Google Pixel 10, JCally JM6 Pro Dongle, PowerAmp. Just copy my EQ, you might need more or less bass

De très mauvaise qualité. Embouts qui ne tiennent jamais (restent dans les oreilles 100% du temps). Et le câble ne fait que se détacher des écouteurs. Probablement les pires écouteurs que j'ai jamais eu.
