High quality and easy to use - definitely a buy.

I wanted a small lock for a locker and specifically went with a combination lock because I didn't want another tiny key to keep track of. Being able to set my own three-digit combination makes it much easier to remember than getting a lock with some random preset code. It's compact enough for a gym locker, backpack or luggage without adding much bulk. I wouldn't use a small lock like this where I needed serious high-security protection. That's not really what it's designed for. For keeping a locker or bag closed and discouraging casual access, it works well.

I'd read a few reviews with people who couldn't set the combo, but I bought it anyway figuring those reviewers were just dummies. Then, I had some initial trouble setting the combo, and for a moment, I thought it was actually defective! But no, those reviewers were, in fact, dummies...or rather, they quit too fast. It turns out that when you press down on the shackle, you've got to press down HARD while turning it. And the turning motion feels surprisingly smooth for a second (almost like you're breaking it) and then you keep turning it until it stops. That's when you reset the combo, and then turn the shank back until it pops up on its own. I'm guessing the people who failed didn't press hard enough because it feels like you might break it. But just know that the lock isn't defective! Don't be a dummy and keep trying. Good luck!

This walk definitely feels a bit cheap and isn’t the highest quality, but it does the job and works perfectly for a gym setting. Overall, it functions well, even if the materials aren’t premium. You’re definitely paying for the price, but if you just need something that works and isn’t fancy, it’s a solid choice.
