Women's Metropolis Parka III

This coat is perfect. I have been searching for the right puffer coat for two years. I needed something to wear on the sidelines of soccer and hockey games. So many black puffer coats are shiny and I hate it. The matte finish on the body with shiny black on the sleeves and collar/hood give it a sense of style. I also wanted a coat without a good and love that this one is removable and then I can hide the buttons under the flap. I am 5'10" and order the medium. The body length and sleeve length is spot on even for my extra long arms. Unfortunately it is big I the.body but I am hoping that it just gives me room for bulkier sweaters. I'm afraid to switch sizes and lose the length in the arms. This is a must buy.

The coat is exactly what I needed and as described. The hood snaps off and on and can also be adjusted easily. Sleeve have elastic around the wrist but easily fits over thick gloves. Hood can fit over thick stocking cap. Zipper is adjustable from bottom and does not hinder driving comfort. However, its such a warm jacket that I had to open my window to cool off. Customer service was exceptional. I had an issue with the currier delivering to another address, they were honest and delivered it to me. I contacted the seller immediately to which they replied in less than 24 hours as well as helping me find it. Would do business agin with this seller.

Warm, cute, below the knee length coat. I live in snow 6+ months a year and this jacket does the trick. Stains wash out well also!

I really like this jacket. The length is great, the fit is great, and the weight is perfect. The only thing that I’m unhappy with it the CONSTANT shedding of feathers. I’m only about a week or two in with this coat and the massive amount of feather that come out all day everyday is really irritating. I wouldn’t have thought this would be a problem with a Northface product, but I stand corrected. I did read through the reviews before I bought the coat and thought...well maybe the feathers coming out isn’t so bad. I was wrong. It’s crazy how many come out. I’ve gotten them in my mouth, in my car, my office, and on my clothes. I’m so annoyed. When you spend $170 or whatever the price is, you don’t expect to have this issue, but here I am.

I love it. Perfect length for extreme cold! I got an extra large because it’s the slim fit, and I’m so glad I did! I needed the extra room in the chest area. My only critique is I wish the sleeves came down a little longer! Great coat overall.

Absolutely love this jacket! It’s so pretty and so warm. Even though it’s puffy, the shape is also flattering. Highly recommend.

Is it very clear that North Face cut costs on elements of this jacket that are considered tried and true by Metropolis loyalists like myself. This is the 3rd Metropolis I've bought in the last 10-15 years. This jacket generally withstands the test of time and I've been lucky not to have needed to buy a new one until about every 5ish years roll around. Unfortunately with this Metropolis III iteration, the hood is TERRIBLE. The zipper is cheap. The feathers won't stop peaking out and coming out. The last two jackets I had were perfection and worth every penny. This one is an anomaly. I did a lot of research of reviews online and everyone seems to say the same thing-- the snaps on the hood are SO bad (they are plastic now, not metal as they used to be) and you simply cannot even hang the coat, hold the cost by its hood, or PUT THE HOOD ON without the snaps coming out. It's like you whisper on the hood's snaps and it immediately detaches. I called North Face Customer Service and all they told me to do it mail the jacket back to their warranty department to assess. This isn't even an answer on what they will do, if they'll do it, and when I'll get my jacket back. It's December. Why would I ship it back in the middle of winter? And, exactly what are you going to do? Replace the snaps? Doubtful without you ruining the integrity of the jacket. Really, incredibly disappointing for how much money I spend on these jackets. I will be buying LL Bean in the future. Please stay far away from this version of the Metropolis.

I love this jacket. It is very comfortable, lightweight and a great length. I’m 5’7 and it hits me right above the knees, which is perfect. It’s warm and stylish, I wear it a lot. HOWEVER - I gave this jacket only 3 stars because of a major design flaw - the hood. The hood is attached with a row of cheap, flimsy tiny little snaps, NOT the quality I expect and usually find from The North Face. I almost returned the jacket for this point alone, but I loved everything else about the fit so I kept it. The hood comes off every day, multiple times, it’s aggravating. Go to pull the hood up and it comes off; pick up the jacket by the hood, it comes off; hang it over your chair and sit back against it, the hood comes off; forget hanging on a hook by the hood...at this point I’m considering sewing it on just so I don’t lose it.

Good customer service and nothing was too much trouble. I already have this coat and my best friend has admired it for a long time so I thought I’d treat her, nice product that will last and last 😬

Beautiful high quality coat.

Bought as a gift for my daughter who was going to New York. She was very pleased with it. Warm enough to cope with NY winter weather but very light to wear and carry. Looked good during the day with leggings and boots but stylish enough to wear to a restaurant in the evening.

No sabía qué esperar pero me sorprendió totalmente! Es en extremo calientita y cómoda, por el tipo de corte favorece el ajuste al cuerpo y figura! No me pareció que suelte demasiadas plumas, los materiales se ven de excelente calidad. El gorro es desmontable y cuenta con tres bolsillos con cierre. Excelente para épocas de mucho frío y regiones con nieve, mis fotos no le hacen justicia! Además llegó muy rápido.
