Replacement Filter provided by Amazon was NEW DEFECTIVE
We've ordered replacement water and air filters for our subzero refrig since we bought the unit in 2016. We've had no problems with water filters but, the most recent air filter change for our refrig was done in Feb 2026 and the unit failed in Aug 2026, only 6 months in use whereas historically the units have lasted 10-12 months. The replacement filter that we ordered from Amazon in Feb 2026 was installed in Aug 2026 and was shown to be NEW DEFECTIVE. We called Subzero directly and they could not recommend Amazon provided filters and suggested ordering directly from Subzero. We did so paying the SAME price as we did through Amazon, received the filter in three business days and, upon installation, noted that the filter worked as designed. For some reason the Amazon supplied filters over the past two years have been faulty or showed less than average life span. I will be ordering direct from Subzero for my filters in the future and would recommend others do the same.

Great value and functionality
These two filters, circulated internal air and water make food last longer and the water tastes just like it's been through a Brita filter. But you get 750 gallons worth. The air filter removes ethylene which causes food to spoil. So food lasts longer in the refrigerator, especially vegetables. These cost more than competitors but they work well in the Sub-Zero refrigerator

Highly recommend!
Ordered this replacement multiple times over a period of 8 years. This is an OEM part that works as advertised.

Is the air filter sounding like it's full of broken glass normal?
The air filter arrived sounding like it was full of broken glass. I returned it, but on further review that might have been completely normal. SubZero should make it clear that this is normal if this is actually true.
