I already had a foldable plastic stand I'd purchased a few years ago but this was abit to unstable and didn't support the phone very well. I also have a leather phone case with a kick-stand but that is very limited in terms of viewing angle, and tends to collapse unless supported by something else.This product, however has none of those issues. It's made out of metal so is sturdy and has a flat base which offfers good stabillity. It folds flat for putting in handbag etc. and opens up via two hinges to form a compact stand which allows any viewing angle from 0 -90 degrees from the horizontal. It also has enough clearance at the bottom to allow charging and/or headphone cable to be connected at the same time (which my previous one didn't) It came as a pack of two, and I only really needed one, but at under £10.00 the pair, I'm more than happy to have one as a spare/for office use. You can move it about quite a lot to get the position right, however the more you go towards 90 degrees the holder topples over. I have a samsung s24 and that's a heavy phone and I manage with it. I haven't used it to hold a tablet so I'm unsure whether it would be able to take the weight of such a device.
