No，It comes with a cord to connect to your laptop. Your laptop can supply enough power to the display to charge the Duex Max DS through the connected Cable.

There are One USB-C cable with USB-A adapter and one mini HDMI to HDMI cable in the package. There are three connection methods. First, use mini HMDI to HDMI Cable to connect through HDMI port. Second, use USB-C to USB-C Cable with USB A adapter attached to connect through USB-A port. Third, use USB-C to USB-C Cable with DP enabled type C ports to connect through USB-C port.
