I didn't have access to the beds before I ordered because we were painting, etc. When I set the beds up and measured from the top of the boxsprings to the carpet and then saw that the length of these is 14", I started to process a return thinking they'd be too short. After looking on desertcart and elsewhere for longer bed skirts and finding nothing as nice or as inexpensive, I thankfully decided to take these out of the package and put them on the beds to see just "how bad" they looked. They don't go all the way to the carpet, but they're long enough that they look fine! I helped that the part that sits on top of the boxspring is a about 1/2" bigger on each side, giving an additional 1/2" to the length of the skirt. I ran them through a cold water rinse and dry on low and they came out almost completely wrinkle free -- enough that if I wasn't being so picky I could have put them on the beds "as is". Seeking perfection I gave them a quick ironing on low heat and sharpened the creases on the pleats. They ironed up perfectly! I couldn't have asked for anything more. The fabric is substantial (unlike the microfiber fabric on so many other bed skirts an overall these look WAY more expensive than they were!
