Whey Protein

This is not whey protein at all. I always use unflavoured whey, and this dissolves far too much to be protein (literally turns translucent) and tastes of chemicals. It seems to be a filler product of some sort.

This is a good product. The price is terrific and an important reason we repurchased. I saw the other reviews about the container seal issue and it was the first thing I checked. The latest jar had an identical issue another reviewer discussed - the foil seal was inside the plastic lid. I have no way of knowing if it was ever properly affixed. The lid was reasonably tight and the product was sealed in a plastic bag (for shipping safety I guess). We will use it based upon previous satisfactory experience but the manufacturer should take heed of the reviews and fix this seal problem. No telling how many shoppers have been worried and bought something else.

The quality of the protein isolate is actually very good. The only problem that I found is that the seal glue is not good and jar was not sealed well. But, for me that was not an issue. I also like the price.

Good protein quality, very peculiar taste, no sugar in it, the mixability is not the best but it is alright, pure protein powder but next time I would buy flavored protein powder .

I have ordered this many times, but this time the quality is not the same. It no longer dissolves well. I have always put it in my hot chocolate, and this time it was clumpy. I finally had to let it cool and put it in my ninja. Too much work and now I worry about the quality.

Update: I have purchased this two more times. The first one was perfect and very good. The second one I received today, the jar was sucked in on itself, and "popped" when opened. The powder had a very strong chemical & burned plastic smell. I suspect that the container over heated at some point and the plastic softened and contaminated the powder. I had some left from the previous jar, so I mixed up two glasses and then randomly tasted both. It was very obvious which one was bad and inedible. I really like this product. It is great quality, but, their packaging has very serious flaw in either process or manufacturing. I have purchased this product 9 times now. And 3 have been bad. They really need to fix this. I've tried a few different brands of whey protein isolate. This is as good as any of the more expensive brands, but much more reasonably priced. Nice to find one that doesn't feel like they are just profiting for the sake of profiting. I've bought this 5 times now, and the only issue is that the foil/plastic seal under the cap has never been actually sealed. It is always popped loose on one side. The cap is tight and nothing spilled out, but the freshness seal was not well adhered and had come loose. Since the bag the jar was in was factory sealed, I didn't worry about tampering, so I kept them. I ordered again thinking that it could have been caused by a rough shipping and the first two were in those amazon bubble shipping bags, so I assumed it was just crushed or banged. The next was in a box with lots of rattle room. But, the last two have come with more secure shipping boxes, were fixed to the side with tape, and perfect boxes. And they were still popped open. The last one had become a bit stale, and had a distinct, but minor, "off" smell. I intended to stop buying it with that one since it seems they just can't get the seal right, but my wife ordered another this week, so, I have a fifth and, yeah, the seal was popped on it also. It also has a slight "off" smell. Not "Exposed to the air and gone bad, just that smell like when a bag of chips is half eaten but been open and closed well for a couple weeks and has gone a bit stale. If they can fix the seal, better adhering process or material, this would be a full 5 star review and I'd be setting it to automatic subscription purchase. Fix it please.

I love this protein very much. It is great value for the price, very mixable, a high protein content and doesn't upset my stomach. The only issue I found was that the foil at the opening was off when the product arrived. I contacted the seller to let them know about this packaging issue and they said they place the container on sealed plastic to prevent tampering and assure customer of the integrity of the product as the foil comes off often during packaging processing. They are aware of the issue and working on it. I am going to subscribe so I can continue having a reliable supply of the product.

This product came opened, unsealed. The foil seal was just on top of the rim but it wasn’t actually sealed for protection so I have no idea if it was a return or someone opened it so I had to throw it away and I lost 43 dollars. I would definitely NOT recommend this product to anyone as I’m sure it’s not the first complaint since I have read in the reviews the same complaint of this arriving opened. Don’t buy this product because if it comes damaged or opened like mine did it’s also non refundable and you can’t return it for a refund.
