I have a 2017 model and the remote looks different from the pictures in the compatibility check?** A: Our frame will cover up that sensor but we do have a few solutions that we recommend. First, we suggest simply turning off the Night Mode and Sleep After setting to prevent the art work from shutting off periodically throughout the day. Both settings can be found within the Art Settings on the TV. Alternatively, we will be releasing a device called a Smart Room Sensor (SRS-2) for all models within the next 3-4 weeks. This device will allow the motion and light detection sensor to function as if the frame was not even there. That device is currently available for pre-order but sadly we do not yet know when we will be able to offer it on Amazon. If you are using the original Samsung remote that comes with the TV, you should have very little issue if any. If for some reason it is not responding well once the Deco frame is installed, you simply need to resync it with the TV's radio frequency. However, if you are using a third party remote that relies on IR line of sight, you would need an IR repeater in order for it to accurately communicate to the TV. That is actually the only way that we advise installing the Deco Frame as the Deco Frame is not designed to support the weight of the TV. It is for that reason that we recommend already having the TV wall mounted before installing the Deco Frame to prevent any potential accidents that could damage the TV or Deco Frame. The only thing to be careful of is to not rotate the frame between vertical and horizontal (landscape and portrait) orientation as the hardware is not designed to hold to the TV when rotating orientations. You also want to be careful to not pull the TV by the Deco Frame as too much pulling could cause the magnets to fail.
