Underpowered Tchaikovsky
Whatever the virtues of the performance, I found the recording underpowered, particularly the upper strings. Would probably sound better over headphones, rather than loudspeakers.

Ce casse-noisette est supérieure à la version de Rattle surtout pour les cordes à l'exemple dans la danse russe. Très satisfait d'un chef d'orchestre pas connu.

This has been a holiday staple for generations. It gets better every time I listen to those classic melodies. Wonderful is the way I can describe The Nutcracker! It just isn't Christmas without it!!

I love this cd! My niece danced in the Nutcracker for many years. This is the only place I could find the complete score. I can almost see the ballet as I listen!
