Has anyone replaced the little screen? Where did you obtain?

I have not had to but when I order the glass was cracked. I called and they replaced it no questions asked. I would call the company. May send you a new one no charge.

does this go inline of vent? does the heat and moisture come into the home?

Yes it goes inline to exhaust vent. So the exhaust has very little lint in it. It does leak a little into house but I use clips on the sides to hold plastic window closer to the housing. I am more concerned with lint entering then heat and moisture.

Can this unit be mounted horizontally?

I don't see why not. It relies on air flow to capture the lint so it should work in either orientation. There are no mounting holes. So you have to make your own through the back, or just mount the hose on either end near the trap. Good luck.

Is there a way for this to blow HOT air into are house during winter months for are electric dryer? I was thinking about energy efficiency.

Not wise, but you could just leave the door off. Even with an electric dryer I would be concerned about localized high temperatures that could be a fire danger.
