I saw that the company, Mova, was selling them on desertcart so I bought one. It was pricey at around £186 in my opinion but I wanted it so it was worth it to me. The problem arose when the item was despatched from a subsidiary in Germany called Mova Europe. The good old UK HM Revenue & Customs demanded an extra £48.06 before they would release it for delivery in the UK. Strictly speaking I realise this isn't the fault of Mova rather its HM Revenue & Customs shamelessly profiteering but nothing was mentioned when I originally ordered it and nearly £50 is a lot of money. The actual item, however, is really good and would be getting 5 stars but for the issue mentioned. It spins away in ambient light and gets glowing remarks from everyone who has seen it. I would even think about buying some of the other planets except for HM R & C's colossal greed! Review: C'est juste onirique - C'est un produit tellement beau, et si reposant. Je ne me lasse pas de regarder le globe tourner. C'est mon deuxième achat après la terre. Je vais acheter tout le système solaire... c'est vraiment d'une grande qualité. J'adore ## Features - NASA-Inspired Planet Design — A vivid depiction of Venus based on actual satellite imagery, featuring fiery swirls of red, orange, and gold to showcase its harsh, volcanic surface. - No Batteries or Wires – Just Light — The MOVA Globe turns silently on its own using ambient indoor light or indirect sunlight, powered by patented solar cell technology. - Compact and Versatile Size — Measuring 4.5 inches in diameter, it fits neatly on desks, bookshelves, or display stands. Small enough to gift, striking enough to admire. - Premium Build with Seamless Movement — A fluid-suspended inner globe rotates within a clear acrylic outer shell, offering a smooth, almost magical visual experience. - A Smart Gift That’s Out of This World — Ideal for astronomy lovers, science teachers, space enthusiasts, or anyone drawn to beautiful objects with purpose. A captivating kinetic sculpture. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B008Y56JLM | | Base Material | Acrylic | | Base material | Acrylic | | Best Sellers Rank | 201,244 in Stationery & Office Supplies ( See Top 100 in Stationery & Office Supplies ) 188 in School Globes | | Brand | MOVA | | Brand Name | MOVA | | Colour | Venus | | Country of Origin | Taiwan | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 107 Reviews | | Finish Type | Polished | | Item Diameter | 4.5 Inches | | Item Highlight | solar powered rotating globe, no batteries or cords, gift for astronomy lovers, premium kinetic display, space desk decor | | Item Weight | 1.12 Kilograms | | Item weight | 1.12 Kilograms | | Manufacturer | TurtleTech Design Inc | | Map Type | Celestial | | Map type | Celestial | | Material | Acrylic | | Model Number | 4,5" | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | MG-45-VENUS | | UPC | 894220000731 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** MOVA - **Colour:** Venus - **Item weight:** 1.12 Kilograms - **Map type:** Celestial - **Material:** Acrylic ## Images ![MOVA Self Rotating Globe, Venus Classic (4.5") - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61bJO6y3PBL.jpg) ![MOVA Self Rotating Globe, Venus Classic (4.5") - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71ZhMOFdHnL.jpg) ![MOVA Self Rotating Globe, Venus Classic (4.5") - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71v5dgyCMEL.jpg) ![MOVA Self Rotating Globe, Venus Classic (4.5") - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71QdbQflGGL.jpg) ![MOVA Self Rotating Globe, Venus Classic (4.5") - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71YRwCEXcgL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Material Type** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: do they do a sun** A: Unfortunately, Mova do not currently make a globe of the sun.
