We have a daughter with DS and she has now mastered her way around every door safety device we have tried to keep her from going outside without us knowing. This door chime is exactly what we need. The volume can be really loud but you can adjust it to what you like. We live in a 2 story home and I can hear it well on the middle volume setting. It’s very easy to install. I did 4 doors in 15 min and it only took that long because it took me a minute to figure out the placement on the sliding doors. This is definitely going to give me peace of mind and for such an affordable price. I definitely recommend this product.

If you have a thick frame around the door jam you may need to make a slot for the small sensor or add a backer to the door to mount it on, otherwise it is quite simple to set up and install. Very happy with this product.
