This product is new to me. Is it actually processed squid and dyed? Does it require refrigeration? How is it better than actual fresh frozen squid?

Fishbites is the synthetic alternative to natural cut bait, giving you all the advantages of Mother Nature-and then some. Fishbites are made of a concentrated formula that replicates natural feeding stimulants and creates a powerful scent trail, so you'll catch more fish. No refrigeration required and doesnt stink up the place or your hands.

can you use on surf fishing?
