Review: Engaging, educational activity book that keeps preschoolers learning independently - We’ve been using the LeapFrog LeapStart Preschool Activity Book with our preschooler, and it has been a great learning tool that balances education and independent play. When paired with the LeapStart system, the book is very intuitive and easy for young children to navigate on their own with minimal adult help. The activities cover a solid range of preschool-level skills, including letters, early phonics, numbers, problem-solving, and basic logic. The audio guidance is clear, encouraging, and age-appropriate, which keeps kids engaged without becoming overwhelming or annoying. I especially like that it gives immediate feedback, helping children learn from mistakes without frustration. The pages are sturdy and well-made, holding up well to repeated use by little hands. The illustrations are colorful and engaging, and the variety of activities helps prevent boredom. It’s a great option for quiet time, travel, or structured learning sessions at home. One thing to note is that the book requires the LeapStart system to function, so it’s not usable on its own. Also, while the content is excellent for preschoolers, kids may outgrow it once they move into more advanced early elementary skills. Overall, this is a high-quality educational activity book that encourages independent learning in a fun, interactive way. It’s a solid addition to any LeapStart collection and a great option for parents looking to reinforce early learning skills. Pros: • Wide range of preschool-appropriate learning activities • Encourages independent learning • Clear audio instructions and positive feedback • Durable pages and bright illustrations • Keeps kids engaged without screen time Cons: • Requires LeapStart system to use • Content may be outgrown as skills advance Highly recommended for preschool-aged children who enjoy interactive, hands-on learning. It has been stabbed violently with the leapstart pen, drawn on with crayons, had food covered fingers flip its pages, and juice poured onto it. Even worse, a page was eventually torn off by the aforementioned child, only to lay on the cold floor. As this is an electronic print with sensors, I feared the worst, but that is when I learned its resilience. On a whim, I used some clear packing tape and fixed the tear. Powering it on, I tested the section which had been ripped off. Much to my surprise, every part of the page worked. This has the fun and educational value one can expect from Bluey, with better ability to uphold to a child's roughhousing than some swing sets. 5/5, my kid would turn people into animals with a magic asparagus all over again. ## Frequently Bought Together - LeapFrog LeapStart Bluey Fun and Games - LeapFrog LeapStart Learning Success Bundle, Green - Leapfrog LeapStart Learn to Read Volume 1 --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/544008279-leapfrog-leapstart-bluey-fun-and-games](https://www.desertcart.no/products/544008279-leapfrog-leapstart-bluey-fun-and-games) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-04*
