## Description

Purify water, remove chlorine, soften, and absorb odors with reusable Japanese binchotan charcoal sticks that provide 6 months of clean, great-tasting hydration.

## Features

- BINCHOTAN CHARCOAL: The Japanese have been using these as a water filter system for centuries. These traditional style sticks of charcoal purify drinking water, removing chlorine, softening the water and absorbing tastes and odours
- SIMPLE TO USE: The charcoal filter stick water filter comes ultra-sonic cleaned and ready to use. All you need to do is fill your bottle with drinking tap water and enjoy great-tasting water. Made from natural wood sticks. Dimensions vary (15 to 28mm diameter, maximum length 118mm)
- LONG LASTING: The natural carbon filter sticks have a total lifespan of 6 months each. As their effectiveness decreases, all you must do is boil the charcoal water filter sticks for 10 minutes to rejuvenate
- USE IN ANY BOTTLE: Works with any water bottle so you don't need water filter cartridges or a special filter water bottle. The charcoal filter sticks are suitable for metal and glass water bottles, carafes, jugs, and even fridge water dispensers
- HEALTHY HYDRATION: The activated charcoal water filter attracts the ions of contaminants to the surface of the carbon, and at the same time releases minerals such as calcium, iron and magnesium back into the water for a healthy way to stay hydrated

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I’m buying a 8L glass water jug and was wondering how many pieces I would have to put into the jug to filter the water or do you do any larger sizes ?**
A: We are advising our clients to use 1 charcoal per litre of tap water to filter it effectively.
The more charcoal you add the faster the filtration is . To be fair, the filtration results will depend mostly on the taste of your tap water. So if the water has a ok taste to start with , it should take not time to filter it. If the water is hard , you may have to wait a lot longer to taste the difference.

Hope this helps

**Q: At least one of the four charcoal doesn't seem want to sink even after boiling, is there anything I can do? Can I ask for a replacement?**
A: I’ve never had this problem, I’d maybe contact the seller or amazon customer services and get another sent out

**Q: how is it made?**
A: I don’t know how it’s made but it certainly works!

**Q: The water tastes of the charcoal. Does this sound right? Thanks.**
A: No. Our water tastes lovely. We have two jugs and it tastes fine.
