Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner

Having recently experienced an unpleasant odor emanating from my kitchen sink, I decided to give Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner a try. This product promises to clean and deodorize garbage disposals, and after multiple uses, I am thoroughly impressed with the results. Here’s an in-depth review of my experience with Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner, highlighting its effectiveness in combating bad odors and its overall performance. Initial Problem: Bad Odor from Kitchen Sink For several weeks, my kitchen had been plagued by a persistent, foul smell that seemed to be coming from the garbage disposal. Despite regular cleaning and maintenance of my sink, the odor continued to linger, making the kitchen an unpleasant place to be. The smell was particularly noticeable after using the disposal, which led me to believe that food particles and grease buildup were likely the culprits. First Impressions and Initial Use Upon researching solutions, I stumbled across Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner. The product's description and positive reviews convinced me to give it a shot. The packaging is straightforward and provides clear instructions on how to use the cleaner effectively. To use the cleaner, the instructions recommend running a stream of warm water into the disposal while simultaneously inserting the Glisten packet. This step is crucial as the warm water helps to activate the cleaning agents within the product. Following these instructions, I ran a steady stream of warm water and then placed the cleaner into the disposal. Results After Initial Use The first use of Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner produced immediate results. As the cleaner began to work, I could hear the disposal churning and foaming, which indicated that it was breaking down the buildup within the unit. After letting it run for the recommended time, I turned off the disposal and let the warm water continue to flow for a few more moments to ensure everything was thoroughly rinsed. The effect was noticeable almost immediately. The foul odor that had been a constant nuisance in my kitchen was significantly diminished. The fresh, lemony scent left by the cleaner replaced the previously unpleasant smell, making the kitchen feel much more inviting. Subsequent Uses and Long-Term Effectiveness While the initial use of Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner made a significant difference, the bad odor did return after a few days. However, I was prepared for this and repeated the cleaning process. Each subsequent use of the cleaner continued to effectively eliminate the odor, although it was clear that regular use would be necessary to maintain a consistently fresh smell. Over the course of a few weeks, I used Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner a few more times. Each time, I made sure to follow the instructions carefully, using a warm stream of water to maximize the product's effectiveness. The repeated use not only kept the odor at bay but also seemed to improve the overall performance of the disposal. The unit ran more smoothly, and there were fewer instances of minor clogs and slow drainage. Observations on Product Performance Ease of Use: The Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner is incredibly easy to use. The pre-measured packets mean there is no guesswork involved, and the clear instructions make the process straightforward. The entire cleaning session takes only a few minutes, which is convenient for a busy household. Effectiveness: The cleaner excels in eliminating odors and cleaning the disposal. The foam action helps to reach all the nooks and crannies within the disposal, ensuring a thorough clean. While the odor does return over time, regular use keeps it under control. Frequency of Use: Based on my experience, using the cleaner once a week or every few days, depending on usage, is sufficient to maintain a fresh-smelling disposal. This regular maintenance prevents the buildup of food particles and grease that cause bad odors. Value for Money: Considering the effectiveness and ease of use, Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner offers good value for money. Each packet delivers a powerful cleaning action, and a box contains multiple packets, making it a cost-effective solution for ongoing disposal maintenance. Conclusion Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner has proven to be an effective solution for dealing with bad odors from my kitchen sink. The product is easy to use, delivers immediate results, and with regular use, keeps the unpleasant smells at bay. By following the simple instructions and using a warm stream of water, I have been able to maintain a fresh and clean garbage disposal. For anyone struggling with similar issues, I highly recommend Glisten Garbage Disposer Cleaner as a reliable and efficient solution to keep your disposal clean and odor-free.

I had a terrible odor that kept returning from the disposal side of my sink. After trying bags and bags of baking soda the odor kept returning. I used 2 of these bags and no more odor! They are very easy to use and worked extremely well. They don't have a lingering odor. like Lysol or some cleaner smell. I was skeptical at first about putting the entire plastic bag in the disposal and turning it on but it worked like a charm. Now my sink is odor free and I'll use one every once in a while to keep it that way. Good value with good results! 16 packs seemed like a good deal and I'm a happy customer.

This product is so highly recommended, I tried it instead of using the small yellow plink disposal balls, same company, and it finally cleaned out the smells from my garbage disposal! Did not even open the packet, just dropped it in instructed and it formed right up into both my garbage disposal and the double sink next to it. Very happy with this product! Plink works well for mild issues, but I had tried lemon and orange peels, vinegar, and baking soda, and nothing worked till this.

This Glisten garbage disposal cleaner works well for cutting through buildup and helping remove odors from the sink area. It’s easy to use and leaves the disposal smelling noticeably fresher after running a cycle. The foaming action helps reach inside areas that are hard to clean manually. It may take regular use to maintain results, but overall it’s a simple and effective product for keeping the garbage disposal clean and odor-free.

I’ve been using these for years. I don’t know for a fact it’s working since I’m no plumber and never stuck a camera down my disposal or drain but I feel like it’s working! The foaming I feel helps get rid of gunk build up. I recommend to all my family. It’s also so convenient placing the whole thing down the drain, no mess to deal with.

After using multiple cleaning products that helped, vinegar & baking soda that helped but still left a residual smell I tried this. I used one packet and thus far the smell has not returned. In the future I will always have them on hand for a thorough clean.

This product is wonderful for keeping the garbage disposal fresh and clean. Works very well and regular use keeps the kitchen free of odors.

I absolutely love this garbage disposal cleaner. It’s a packet that you put in your garbage disposal after you’ve let the water run for a few minutes at the width of a pencil so you turn your hot water on you. Let the stream be very small and then you place one of these packets right in your garbage disposal turn your garbage disposal on and you’re gonna see a bunch of bluish green foam come up on both sides of your sink and you allow that to keep happening and then it will all suck back down once all the green foam has been sucked back down into the garbage disposal is when you can turn it off and then rinse the residual green film. This stuff keeps your garbage disposal, working lubricated and smelling great often when you don’t clean your garbage disposal, it can get a really funky smell down there so I do this every Monday it’s a ritual. I put one of those packs down there. I keep my garbage disposal clean fresh lubricated maintained, and that way it prevents you from having it break sooner than it needs to because repairs are expensive.
