Used the citric acid and left for 24 hrs. The cleaned the toilet. The grime had gone so easy to use not toxic and can be stored in a plastic container as the mixture goes a long way. No need for bleach and if done weekly the toilet is spotless. Often used last thing at night to give it a good length of time to do its magic. Good value for money for the quantity. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good value size for cooking and cleaning and bath bombs *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 30 May 2026* Great for cleaning and bath bombs et. I am recovering from serious illness and have limited energy, funds and want to avoid chemicals. Look up Japanese cleaning with this and Baking soda (bicarbonate of soda) WOW, it works and no harsh bleach or chemicals, saves me storage and expensive products. Baking Poweder and this are used differently, so Bicarb great for odaour and sparkling taps removng some reside. This great for cleaning brown staining. I use both now and good for cat ray washing (I have a stainless steel cat tray) as it doesn't harm my cat. I have used in food preserves to help with acidity when water bathing in a giant pot. Food lasted over a year. I made my own tomoato pasta sauce and added some of the citric acid to make it more acidic, it worked. SO easy, this brand is brilliant and good value. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I am really impressed *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 29 June 2025* I got this because we have some nasty gunk in the bottom of our kettle. The water in our area is not especially good and the yucky stuff that's sitting in the bottom of our kettle is offputting.Having read that citric acid is some kind of miracle cure for cleaning out kettles and coffee makers, frankly I didn't believe it. But the cost of this big bag of citric acid powder is cheap enough that I didn't mind trying.I watched some YouTube videos to see how you're supposed to use it. So in my case I filled the kettle enough to just go past the MIN mark inside and I added 2 tablespoons of the powder, then boiled the kettle and let it stand for 5 minutes after it finished. Obviously I rinsed it out a couple of times and did a final fresh water boil just to finish off.I really didn't expect to see much difference, but good grief it was spotless. All the people who have said it works were telling the truth. I think in our case we probably need to do a clean maybe once a month so this big pack should last a long time. But ignoring the cost anyway, the peace of mind knowing that there isn't all that nasty stuff in the bottom of the kettle is well worth having. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I would not have believed it. I was very sceptical at first, but the proof is right in front of me. I'm sure there are other uses too, but all I wanted this for was the kettle. To say I'm impressed is an understatement. ## Frequently Bought Together - Citric Acid Food Grade 500gr || Non-GMO, Anhydrous, Make Your Own BathBomb, Gluten-Free, No Additives, Sour Drinks, Household Cleaning with Citric Acid Powder (Packaging may vary) - Aksoy Baking Soda 1.8KG Jar || Pure Sodium Bicarbonate Powder, Highest Purity, Food Grade – Versatile Baking Soda for Cooking, Baking, Cleaning, Deodorizing & More! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/540368200-aksoy-citric-acid](https://www.desertcart.no/products/540368200-aksoy-citric-acid) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-11-04*
