The grip is good, without being too much or damaging to the material stuck to it either. So far nothing has slipped around during cutting, or been so stuck that it tears when removed. Masking tape hasn't removed the adhesive from the mat after use as it has with similar mats from other brands, which is great for prolonging the longevity when cutting thicker materials that require some extra holding down. Performs absolutely perfectly with a Cricut Maker. These are sized well to fit the machine.
