Fast speeds! - My daughter was complaining of the WiFi but she did not have any Ethernet drops in her room but had a single cable connection so ordered this set and she is loving the speeds! The speed test is in the 900s (I have gig Fios) with low ping and latency times. Very easy to setup. In her room, just plug this into the cable outlet and her computer (plus add power). In the basement, connect the other one to the other side of the cable (it’s a direct run) and then into the switch for the router. Works beautifully (with one windows caveat). The hardest part of the install was finding which cable in the next if cables in the basement. I used one of those “tone” devices. Connected the tone generator in her room and then used the wand side to identify the cable. Without that, would have been a lot of trial and error. On the Windows install, I was running a Speedtest and noticed Windows would lose internet access. So I ran a ping -t to the router and kept doing the speed test. That told me windows was having an issue. To resolve it, I turned off the power savings on the Ethernet port and it’s been stable ever since. While a little pricey to do the whole house, for specific places this is great! Review: 2.5 Gb per second. - Set up was easy. So far they work as advertised. I would recommend this product. ## Features - ⚠️ NOT A MODEM OR ROUTER - NETWORK ADAPTER ONLY: This is a MoCA network adapter that extends your existing network using coax cables. It does NOT provide internet service and does NOT replace your modem or router. You must have an existing internet connection and router to use this product. - ⚠️ SATELLITE WIRING INCOMPATIBILITY: If your home was ever wired for satellite TV (DirecTV, Dish Network), the satellite company likely cut or disconnected your in-home coax network. This product will NOT work with cut or isolated coax wiring. Before purchasing, verify your coax outlets are interconnected—if you previously had satellite service, ask your current provider if they reconnected your home’s coax network. - ❌ NOT COMPATIBLE WITH AT&T FIBER: AT&T Fiber’s implementation causes signal interference with MoCA. Works with all other internet types (Cable, Verizon Fios, Google Fiber, etc.) as long as your home has an active, interconnected coax network. - ✅ WIRING REQUIREMENTS - VERIFY BEFORE BUYING: Requires coax outlets (round screw-on connectors, NOT satellite F-connectors) in multiple rooms that connect to a main splitter. Does NOT work with isolated coax runs, phone lines (RJ11), or Ethernet cables. Check that your coax outlets are part of an interconnected network, not separate isolated runs - EXTENDS YOUR NETWORK: Converts your home’s coax cable wiring into high-speed ethernet connections. Perfect for connecting devices in rooms far from your router without running new cables. Achieves up to 2.5 Gbps speeds over existing coax. WORKS WITH: Cable internet (Xfinity, Spectrum, Cox, etc.) and most fiber services (Verizon Fios, Google Fiber, etc.). - COMPLETE 2-PACK KIT: Includes 2 MoCA 2.5 adapters, 2 coax cables, 2 ethernet cables, 2 power adapters, and quick start guide. Easy plug-and-play setup once coax wiring is verified. POE filter not included (required only for high-split DOCSIS cable systems). Requires cable TV coax network, not satellite TV wiring. - 🚀 2.5 GBPS MAX ETHERNET SPEED: Delivers up to 2.5 Gigabit per second wired connection through your existing coax cables. Perfect for 4K streaming, gaming, and high-bandwidth devices. Actual speeds depend on your internet plan and network conditions. - 📋 SMART PURCHASING GUIDE: This 2-pack includes 1 adapter for near your router + 1 for your device location. Each coax outlet needs its own adapter. Count your needed locations first - buy additional single units if you need more than 2 connections. - 📦 COMPLETE 2-PACK KIT: Includes 2x MoCA 2.5 adapters, 2x Ethernet cables, 2x power adapters, and setup guide. POE filter for high-split DOCSIS systems sold separately if needed. Easy plug-and-play installation. - 📞 SETUP SUPPORT INCLUDED: Free technical support available if you experience connectivity issues. Most problems stem from home wiring configuration, not product defects. Our support team can help verify your coax network compatibility and optimize performance. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0C47MJT83 | | Best Sellers Rank | #81 in Audio & Video Connectors & Adapters | | Brand | Hitron | | Built-In Media | 2 Power Supplies, 2 Coax Cables, 2 Ethernet Cables | | Color | 2 pack | | Compatible Devices | Desktop, Game Console, Laptop, Requires existing network equipment, Smart TV | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 450 Reviews | | Data Link Protocol | Ethernet 2.5 Gbps | | Data Transfer Rate | 2.5 gigabytes_per_second | | Hardware Interface | Ethernet | | Item Dimensions L x W x H | 4.33"L x 2.76"W x 1"H | | Item Weight | 110 g | | Manufacturer | Hitron | | Number of Items | 2 | | Number of Packs | 2 | | Product Dimensions | 4.33"L x 2.76"W x 1"H | | UPC | 860009155343 | | Unit Count | 2 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Hitron - **Color:** 2 pack - **Compatible Devices:** Desktop, Game Console, Laptop, Requires existing network equipment, Smart TV - **Data Link Protocol:** Ethernet 2.5 Gbps - **Data Transfer Rate:** 2.5 gigabytes_per_second - **Hardware Interface:** Ethernet - **Item Weight:** 110 g - **Number of Packs:** 2 - **Product Dimensions:** 4.33"L x 2.76"W x 1"H - **Unit Count:** 2 Count ## Images ![Hitron HTEM5 MoCA 2.5 Network Adapter (2-Pack) - Extends Network via Coax | NOT a Modem/Router/WiFi | Requires Cable TV Wiring (NOT Satellite) | Works with Cable & Most Fiber (NOT AT&T) | 2.5 Gbps - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71GIZFjRYcL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: What is MoCA Technology?** A: MoCA transforms your existing coaxial cable wiring into a high-speed ethernet network backbone. Unlike wireless connections, MoCA uses shielded coaxial cables that provide exceptional signal integrity with ultra-low latency - typically under 5ms. **Q: How does MoCA work?** A: MoCA adapters communicate through your home’s coax cables, converting ethernet data into MoCA signals that travel through the coax network, then converts them back to ethernet at the destination. **Q: Is the HTEM5 compatible with satellite services?** A: No, the HTEM5 is compatible with cable services, but not satellite services such as DirectTV or Dish Network. **Q: Can I use HTEM5 MoCA Adapters with any Internet Service Provider (ISP)?** A: Yes, Hitron’s HTEM5 MoCA adapters are compatible with any internet service provider. They work independently of your ISP and can be used to extend your network regardless of the service provider you are using. **Q: Can I use HTEM5 MoCA adapters in an apartment or multi-dwelling units (MDUs)?** A: Yes, HTEM5 MoCA adapters can be used in apartments or MDUs. However, it’s important to note that the coaxial cable infrastructure in these buildings can be more complex, with multiple units sharing the same coaxial network. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best use of the old cabling! Fast speeds! *by G***M on September 4, 2026* My daughter was complaining of the WiFi but she did not have any Ethernet drops in her room but had a single cable connection so ordered this set and she is loving the speeds! I would recommend this product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Can’t run Cat6 or open walls? This is the perfect solution *by M***L on March 14, 2026* These MoCA 2.5 adapters worked perfectly for my setup. I needed a fast and stable connection in a room where running Ethernet wasn’t practical, and this solved the problem instantly using the existing coax cables in the house. Setup was quick and straightforward—plug in the coax, connect Ethernet, and the link established immediately. The connection has been extremely stable with excellent throughput, making it perfect for streaming, gaming, large downloads, and working from home. As a cable technician, I’ve worked with coax networks for years and was impressed with how well these adapters performed. I tested them in a 100-year-old house using older copper-braided RG59 coax and was still able to achieve over 1 Gbps throughput with zero packet loss, which was really impressive considering the age of the wiring. I’ve used these both to extend Wi-Fi coverage by feeding another access point and to connect a network switch for additional wired devices, and they’ve worked flawlessly in both scenarios. Latency has been low and the connection has remained stable with no drops. The build quality also feels solid and well made. One note: if your coax cable is damaged, corroded, excessively long (150+ ft), or already had signal issues before installing MoCA, you may experience connection problems. In most cases that would be related to the condition of the coax line itself rather than the MoCA adapters. If you already have coax wiring in your home and want near-Ethernet performance without opening walls or pulling Cat6, MoCA is an excellent solution and these adapters deliver exactly what they promise. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ## Frequently Bought Together - Hitron HTEM5 MoCA 2.5 Adapter Kit (2-Pack) | 2.5Gbps Ethernet Over Coax | Multi-Gig Wired Backhaul for Mesh WiFi, Streaming & Gaming | Includes 2 Adapters, Coax & Ethernet Cables - BAMF 2 Way Coaxial Cable Splitter, Bi-Directional Coax MoCA 5-2300MHz, RG6 Compatible, Nickel Plated Cable Splitter Internet and TV Splitter, Satellite, Amplifier, Antenna, Analog/ Digital Connections - Filter, MoCA POE for Cable TV & OTA coaxial Networks ONLY --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/537169043-hitron-htem5-moca-2-5-network-adapter-2-pack-extends](https://www.desertcart.no/products/537169043-hitron-htem5-moca-2-5-network-adapter-2-pack-extends) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-08*
