The blade got caught on the corners. **Q: Does this sharpener work for multiple pencil sizes- in particular the larger size for more beginning writers?** A: Not the one that I have. The opening is just for the standard size pencil. **Q: Does this sharpen Prismacolor Premier pencils well?** A: Well, contrary to another answer....I don't have a problem sharpening my Prismacolor Premier. The Derwent coloursoft is a tight fit (it's thicker than prisma), but it will work. Derwent Inktense, Faber Castell polychormos, Irojeten all sharpen just fine. You do of course have to check the pencil after a few twists so you don't just sharpen the lead away. **Q: Does it sharpen using a single straight blade or the spiral Blade?** A: It has a straight blade that is on a little pivot so that when you "twist" the pencil back and forth....not turn round and round, it sharpens it. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 19 October 2021* Bit more expensive than others I have bought but much better ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent tool *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 17 June 2019* Excellent had been strongly recommended for use with Polychrome pencils and it does indeed work very well ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant product *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 2 July 2019* Excellent pencil sharpener, best I’ve ever tried! ## Frequently Bought Together - Bostitch Office Pencil Sharpener ,Twist-n-Sharp, For Kids & Colored Pencils, Assorted Colors (PS1-ADJ) - Crayola Colored Pencils (36ct), Kids Pencils Set, Arts & Crafts Supplies, Coloring Book Pencils, Gifts for Kids & Toddlers, Ages 3+ - Amazon Basics Woodcased Classroom #2 Pencils with Erasers, Pre-sharpened, HB Lead, Value Pack of 30 count, Orange --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.no/products/53434476-bostitch-twist-n-sharp-pencil-sharpener-assorted-colors-ps1-adj](https://www.desertcart.no/products/53434476-bostitch-twist-n-sharp-pencil-sharpener-assorted-colors-ps1-adj) --- *Product available on Desertcart Norway* *Store origin: NO* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
