I’ve purchased many dermaplaning blades both on Amazon and elsewhere. Venus by Gillette is by far the best. The design (look at the top of the blade on this one and then look at the others) prevents cuts which I got with allllll the other cheapies. The Venus blades are sharp, so I’m sure you could cut yourself if you weren’t careful. You do need to use care when removing the cap, it’s tight (as it should be). It’s all well and good to get 24 pieces, but if none are very sharp, what’s the point? This kit has one very well made, sturdy wand and 4 replacement heads. I expect it to last longer and work better than the cheap 12 or 24 piece cheapies. Also, the Schick three piece set was as dull as the cheapies, one arrived cracked though the delivery box was fine. This set works well on peach fuzz and exfoliation (go against the hair, not with it). You get what you pay for and I’m glad I purchased this set.

I’ve tried four top rated brands of these tools from Amazon. These are so far beyond the others it’s not even comparable. I’ve tried ones that are labeled for professional use only—they’re awful. Nothing is as ergonomic or sharp as these—sharpness is so damn important when you’re doing this. The surest way to cut yourself is with a dull, oddly angled blade. This handle is perfectly designed, and although I had used a different brand the day before trying this one, fuzz came off as if i hadn’t done it in weeks?!! There’s just no reason for me to ever buy another brand. I found my favorite. Short soft strokes and your skin will glow. Makeup will apply like a dream. My skin which stopped turning over as it once did, feels great again. So happy with these.

I have a lot of peach fuzz on my face and as I have been getting older some of those peach fuzz are turning into long black hairs. This worked really well as just nipping those off without having to plug or wax my whole face.

This product is excellent. I was previously using the Michael Todd sonic tool and it died. I bought this and did not realize it was manual and not powered. However, it seems to remove mountains of peach fuzz from my face, far more than the sonic one ever did. It leaves my skin so smooth and fuzz free and it’s very gentle and easy to use. So glad I purchased this and it was so much less expensive than replacing the sonic one.

You might as well just buy a Mach 3 or 5 razor, which are fine for shaving your legs, but not your face. These are not electric. You have run them over your face repeatedly and they still don't work well. And, no I do not have a hairy face:) These just are not good. Michael Todd's Dermaplaning tool is far superior. Ergonomic. It cost little bit more than Gillette but is well worth the investment. You run it down your face once or twice and it does a much better job. (btw Its cheaper to buy from Michael Todd directly.)

I use these for travel rather than taking my battery powered trimmer. Love them.

I have tried many brands in the past, and have contemplated buying more expensive methods, but I did read very positive reviews of this product online, so I am happy to report this works so well! The best things about it is the sharpness of the blade. I only need to go over my skin once or twice tops, as opposed to other blades I have used that I go over and over certain areas, and then end up cutting my face. I also like the weight of the wand which seems to provide more stability over the areas I am focusing on. It has additional blades with it so I can change them out when needed.
