Review: Overall, does the job! - First of all, when I recently acquired this dash-cam, it was a quick and easy to install. I got to use it for quite a bit before it suddenly decided to fail on me. The issues that I encountered with mine was, SD Card was plugged but dash-cam says there is no storage. Another issue was the sudden flicker of the dash-cam. Of course, I had to talk to Cooau’s Customer Service. I didn’t really expect much of it for them to do much and solve my issue. Oh, I was wrong. Cooau’s Customer Service was literally so helpful and understanding, that I personally had completely no difficulty or issues at all. They were pretty straightforward with everything and we’re really nice enough to compensate for my issues. Just for the customer service itself, I’d already give it a 5. Again, back to the dash-cam. The camera is a 2.5k front view camera that has a 170° view and a 150° interior view running at 30fps. The dash-cam’s battery life requires it to be connected to a power source at all times, as it doesn’t retain any charge at all. The dash-cam also comes with Cooau’s built-in app available for both iPhone and Android. For the app itself has quite some flaws. What I noticed so far is that the app can be slow and the registering process doesn’t work for everyone. (For the app, I think you can’t use passwords with specific characters or something like that.) Overall, the app isn’t bad and it actually works decent when it wants to, such as being able to view your replays or being able to see your live dash-cam footage through your phone. Though, to connect to the dash-cam, you must be within reach and be able to connect through Wi-Fi. As for the sound quality, it works pretty well. No complaints or flaws I’ve seen at all. Though, yes it could be better. But this is a dash-cam that’s being sold for a reasonable price. Along with what comes with the dash-cam is night vision. This only works through the interior camera and doesn’t have the feature for the exterior camera. The dash-cam also comes with a few settings to mess with or tweak around with. So far, I am pretty happy with how the dash-cam works, but also with how Cooau’s Customer Service handled and solved my issue, leaving me a satisfied customer. If any questions, feel free to ask.
Review: great dash cam and company! - i bought this cam as two of my family members bought one and had nothing but good input. the original camera i received from desertcart was problematic and wouldn’t turn on upon car start up. so i reached out to the company directly and Fairy was extremely helpful in. after a few back and forth emails about the problem, they deemed the original defective and sent me a new one. the new one worked perfectly. i enjoyed the company’s communication and commitment to their customers. the camera itself is great. such an easy set up and installation in the car plus the app is super convenient in accessing the live feed and previous recordings. and the video quality is so good! day or night, it looks so clear. no issues with it falling. no issues with recordings. no issues with sound or video. honestly a great dash cam and an even better company.

**Q: Does this dash cam support loop recording?**
A: It records in 3 minute increments and saves the files to the card. One file for Front facing camera and one for the rear facing camera. It will keep saving your video in 3 minute increments until the card fills up and then will start recording over the oldest videos on the card.

**Q: Do you have to have a phone in the vehicle to use this camera?**
A: You do not have to have a phone in the vehicle. The dash cam has a small screen . You do not need a phone at all, you could send the video to any wifi device. I hope this helps you.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Video Quality, Broken Speed Display

I’ve been using this COOAU dash cam every day for work, and overall I’ve been very happy with it. The video quality is excellent for the price, both during the day and at night. The camera is easy to set up and use, and the Wi-Fi connection to my phone has been reliable. Downloading videos is quick, and the app works well. I also like the built-in GPS and the various recording options. It has been a dependable camera, and I feel much better having it recording while I’m driving. The only reason I’m giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the GPS speed display on the recorded videos is completely inaccurate. Instead of showing my actual speed, it sometimes displays absurd numbers. In one of my recordings it actually showed 10,703,212 MPH while I was simply driving down a county road! Obviously that’s impossible, so the speed overlay is essentially useless. If COOAU could fix the GPS speed display with a firmware or app update, this would easily be a 5-star dash cam. Fortunately, the video itself records perfectly, which is the most important part. Overall, I would definitely recommend this camera if you’re looking for an affordable, easy-to-use dash cam with great video quality. Just don’t rely on the speed readout until the manufacturer fixes that bug.
